PostSubject: My Bird-Collection in May 2012...   Thu May 24, 2012 2:16 am

Because of the pics from Susanne with her new Bullyland flamingo's, i thought it was about time to make some new pics from my bird-collection in my vitrines, and besides that one of my pre-historic humans.
I had an empty shelf in that particular vitrine, because i did put out my croc-family(sorry Crocobert... Laughing ), i needed the room for the birds right now...)
Here are the pics:

It is always a pleasure to watch your collection! As you know crocodiles are closer related with birds than with other reptiles. So why are they reptiles and not birds? Fortunately taxonomists are merging the 2 orders and a chicken will be a reptile or a snake a bird/ave. geek It is easy to me to think in a chicken as a reptile once some dinos are only huge chickens! study
So next time think better what to do with your crocs! Evil or Very Mad Laughing

Thank you Kristie!
There are 4 hummingbirds, the big green one is Bullyland, the smaller one with flower is from a Safari toob, the 2 small blue ones are Schleich mini.

It is all a matter of space my friend!
and as my bird-collection is growing the fastest, this is what i had to do, get out the crocs, and the other reptiles and amphibians were out already before that... Laughing

Impressive Shocked
You've got a great variety of birds of prey:)
I like esp the naked one from this picture. Is it sth like sparrowhawk?

The white falcon is a peregrine, made by Linde in the 1950's.

Thank you very much Tim, a great compliment from a great collector like you! king

Fantastic collection Willy!! Really interesting looking through.

Who made the kingfisher? It looks a bit like a Kaiyodo scratch
