Thanks for information, Martien! Actually it is strange to see a shop selling them where they are not in a Bullyland catalogue or in other official Bullyland source. Suspect
I love the mastodonsaurus and Deinotherium and probably will get them but not in next times. affraid
Curious also to see the special spinophorosaurus, a little expensive for such a small replica but it is a very limited edition. I think only Susanne has it? study

The painting of the new ones look very similar to the old ones, to me at least. I was hoping for more difference.

Now that the the figures are producted again, will people buy the new ones because they're easier to obtain, or hunt for the old ones? What do you think?

Yes, it seems that the painting is almost similar Suspect
That is extremely stupid of the new owner, - if only they had painted them differnetly, - or made a note in the mould with they year, the collectors would all be very happy Evil or Very Mad

Here is the deinotherium in the old and new "version"
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The old one is lighter, espesially on the belly, but that may be because of normal variation scratch

They haven't even changed the year in the mold?? : O
So the figures are really similar...
Too bad, if they had been more different, I would have gotten the new andrewsarchus.. : (
But I might get the megaloceros after all, because I haven't got the old one already and I really like it.

But great deinotheriums, anyways, Susanne!

Thankyou, Krista flower

As far as I know there is no year in any of them. Neither the old ones nor the new ones study

Oh yeah, I had forgotten that Bullyland doesn't usually put years in their molds (at least the ones I have)..

How confusing! Since the paintings are so similar, how one's supposed to know if it's an old one or new one? (or does it really matter to anyone? : D)

I was expecting the same mould but different painting. I think for a collector of prehistoric figures it doesn't matter but for a Bullyland collector it would be interesting to see them differently painted. If Anyway I think it is a good initiative from Bullyland, a retro series, they are already very outdated but the series was so interesting that they released it again and for a short time. We'll have probably a new deinotherium in next years, more up to date so I think it is nice to have 2 very different interepretations. Very Happy
