I love the Indian rhino, whatever size it has, and the okapi and some others seem to be good too!
And now i see how famous our great friend Christophe is in the collectors world, as they made a special model from him... Wink geek

Can't wait to get the Okapi, I'm not sure about the Indian rhino until someone else has it, then I can see better photos. But it does look gorgeous cheers

Thanks for the pics!
Now that we have two nice lions, Papo and CollectA, an acceptable one, Schleich, I wait that Safari lion it will be better than is looking!
The capibara is a very nice news. doesn't metter if it is too big. Like Kiki jaguar, mine is waiting for food and much bigger much better!

Thank you Marina for the pictures and Harriet for their access to the forum. A few animals (capybara, badger, kudu, greater roadrunner, okapi) who would like to have, it looks very promising. No, but we'll see how it will look on sale in mass production. I'm curious of their proportion in relation to the Schleich, Papo, CollectA. Indian Rhinoceros by the black line IMHO looks like a cartoon. I am not in fact met such a rhinoceros.

I don't like that black line around the indian rhino's eyes either, looks odd. But you could always paint over the black lines.

I don't like the black line too and I already told it to Safari. Maybe if you do the same it could help.

I especially like this model because the sculpting seems very realistic Cool But those black lines Shocked .

Zbyszek, here is a pic of an Indian rhino who lived one hour car driving from me. It looks a lot like the Safari Wink

Zybsek wrote "just for kids", well if these toy companies were smart, they would do a collector series
only for serious collectors, I know I would definitely buy them, as I'm sure other serious collectors would!
Charge a little more for a more detailed piece, I don't care, just make sure the quality, detail, and scale are PERFECT!

Sure they would! But how many serious collectors are there around the globe? Hundreds? Maybe a few thousands at most? I think such audience is not sufficient to make good sales, that's the bitter truth...

Maybe true about not that many serious collectors, so just make a few figures for the serious collectors and see how it goes.

Male and female Okapi's look identical so it shouldnt make a difference. Besides many of the males in the animal kingdom are more stunning and easily identifiable for little kids such as the Male Ostrich, Antelope and thier horns, stags, peacocks, lions etc.

Why bigger? I'd prefer it to be in scale with Schleich Indian rhino to display them together.

K,
The Schleich Indian rhino's to small as well (For example, when put next to Schleich tigers(Which are no where half as good as Papo tigers), way to small!
Bengal tigers can get up to 500lbs, Indian rhinos can weigh over 6000 lbs, so as I keep saying, these toy companies need to start thinking "outside the box" and make the figures in proportion to each other! Lets see some big elephants, rhinos & hippos figures!

Safari ltd is the only company wich make large animals, the wildlife wonders, indian elephant, Loxodonta, Giraffe Hippo , white Rhino , you can get those in midium and large scale.Safari ltd in the future probably going to make a large Indian Rhino. But remmeber my friend, that not every mom and dad have the money to buy large animals, for tight pockets you can buy a very nice midium scale from Safari ltd wildlife.

All I'm saying is...how hard is it to make an Indian rhino approximately 4"tall and 6.5" long?
Safari ltd's 07' Asian Elephant, 10' Asian Elephant and 08' Bison have similar sizes
and are all with in the 5-7 dollars range. That's affordable for mom and dad!
As far as the Wildlife Wonders series, which I love, they just dropped the ball this year by not making a few more animals!

[Hello my friend , this is a great time to request any animal for 2011 to Safari ltd, you can reach them at Facebook and let them know what ever you think or need for the new for 2012.
I feel like the Indian rhino large could be a great new intro y a large scale but not too large in scale with the wildlife lions.

Nobody seems to be impressed on the model of my friend Christophe... Rolling Eyes Laughing

There is still some serious people here Willy What a Face cyclops Laughing

I can't find or remember why i said this, and this way, but ok, it was late, very late...
You said it when you posted a picture of a Cyclops cyclops

Yes yes, i remember again, but i wasn't sure if the answer of Christophe was about this, haha. Laughing

By the way, i am a fan of animal-series that are in scale to eachother too, it is about time that manufacturers do so! Cool

Anyhow, i am happy that you could reveal most of the good news from Safari, and that they listened to you in the name of many collectors for the Indian rhino model, which looks great IMHO! cheers
But there are some more great models too, i love it when the news is there! cheers [/quote]
