PostSubject: Greyhound type statue   Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:35 am

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me identify this dog statue. I know absolutely nothing about it. This statue belongs to my mum, I am trying to find out more information about it for her Very Happy

Don't know anything about it but the material looks like Breyer's scratch

We can see some markings on the underneath of the model, in the second pic, but can't make them out - what do they say?

Could you give us the size of the dog (length and height)? It looks like porcelain - is that right?

For some reason something about it says Sandicast to me... Hang on, I'll have a rummage around the interwebz.

Edit: Well, I found a similar-looking one... not sure it's the same one though. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

What a pretty piece! Looks like porcelain/ceramic to me too. My guess would be Japan, based on nothing. :) Sandicasts usually have "fur" texture.
