I must admit I was a little surprised that "wild pigs" was the most popular. But sure enough, everyone has LOVELY collections! I've enjoyed the photos so far!

I have only one wild pig. :)

Schleich, Papo and Britains

I like the Britians a lot! (I like all of them, but I've never seen the Britains before.)

Ah, I see Sauroid has one too. Nice!

Beautiful collections! We love the Pig family, where beauty is combined with intelligence!

OK. Here are some old ancestral toy pigs, in metal and composition. And a Humour Section. And an enigma.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Britains Ltd.; metal Warthog and Wild Boar, with plastic Wild Boar on the right.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Wild Boars by Elastolin, Tipple-Topple and Lineol.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Old Elastolin Wild Boar, with modern Schleich Marcassins.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The Tipple-Topple Wild Boar was mercilessly copied. The genuine Tipple-Topple Boar is on the left.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Late Lineol; Wild Boar and Warthog.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A pair of Elastolin Babirusa.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The "Humour Section". Some time ago, we tried to make an Ark pair of Red River Hogs, in the style of the old composition animals. Ooops ... not a success!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A plastic enigma. Large-scale animal marked "T.M. 1994 MADE IN CHINA. WARTHOG"
It is certainly not a Warthog! Is it actually a wild animal, or does it represent some kind of Asian domestic pig?

@ Sue and Lesley: those are gorgeous vintage figures. the last figure looks like an incomplete Babirusa.

It is hard to know what it is. Probably a TOYMAJOR once it is marked T. M. but their actual warthog is this one
