This SUY topic is devoted to squirrels, ground squirrels, marmots and all members of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] so also dormice and mountain beaver.

These animals are wonderful and very cute, and probably have best reputation from all rodents :) . Red squirrel is best known member from this group, many kids and adults love them for their acrobatic skills, big eyes, fluffy tails and beautiful red fur. In some parks these animals are not afraid of people and always checking if someone has something to eat for them cat

There is many species of squirrels, ground squirrels, and marmots and many figures of them available on the market however most represented is red squirrel. For more scientific information about Sciuromorpha please click the link above Wink

Here are my cuties Very Happy

And related to squirrels and marmots are also dormice. Here my Japanese dormouse by Kaiyodo :)

Oh yes I should have put what brand they all were. That is a Giant Squirrel I believe - it's made by Kaiyodo.

What a great group of pictures!

Thank you Anna, Kristie, Susanne, Harriet, and Lance, for sharing.

@Anna, I love that Collecta Squirrel! (the more recent one -- the one eating.) I got it recently and it looks better in person than it did in the pictures I had previously seen. It is painted very nicely. The pictures of it above, however, are really good and do it justice.

@Harriet, I still think that bullyland micro Squirrel is awesome. Long live micro-squirrel.

I am in squirrel and marmot heaven.

Harriet: I know! I really have to. Very Happy

Nice collection Andreas; I like that Chipmunk! (Is it a chipmunk? It's on the right, with the stripe down its back and black and white around its eyes?)

Here's my modest contribution. (I am leaving out the three Schleich squirrels I have.) First, my Kaiyodo Squirrel. I believe they listed it as a Eurasian Red Squirrel. (In the top frame, it is next to the collecta.)

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(This Kaiyodo is particularly gruesome with respect to the seams. You can pop off his face. I hope this doesn't make Andreas squirm too much.)

And just because I like it so much, I'll include another picture of the CollectA Eating Squirrel that Anna already photographed beautifully above.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Not to be weird or anything, but I've always thought moving to an international "squirrel" currency would be a great idea, if only because we'd be able to ask questions like, "How much is that in squirrels?" and people would have to carry around bags of squirrels.

If you want something, you should go and get it! Laughing
Razz I know, I know Sleep

If I see one I will get one for you, I see a lot of their other squirrel but not much of the one you like
That's ok Steve. I'm waiting for 2012 collectA so I'll order a squirrel with that. But thank you, that's kind of you.

Love your custom squirrel!

Ok, that's alright. Out of interest where are you going to get 2012 colletcA from? I have one with MPV but I've no idea when the will stock them.

So many beautiful squirrels and marmots! So many beautiful pictures. Here are my animals:

Family from AAA

Schleich and "Margarinefigur"
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Old Margrinefigur (margarine), perhaps from the 50's. Most of them are white.
The figures are advertising, they were set by the manufacturers or the company as a gift with the products, such as in coffee, margarine and so on.

I had no idea that there was a whole family of those AAAs Shocked
The "Margerinefigurs" are so beautyful and detailed. What a shame they are so expensive, - it is a joy to watch your pictures flower

A-J, your tiny ones are SO cute drunken

Well, I don't know yet, I'm hoping I'll be able to order from the UK as shipping gets expensive anywhere else.

Ahh I'm awfully late in this topic but I must say I loooooooooooooove all of your squirrels! <333333

Steve your custom paint grey squirrel is awesome, for a second I actually thought it was some japanese brand like kaiyodo lol! :'D

Anyways, here are my babies
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Marolin, old Bullyland, Kaiyodo, Schleich variants, Schleich, old CollectA, Topps, Re-ment, Bullyland mini, Re-ment, K&M +some mystery ones

Here are some close-ups of the ones that haven't been posted here before : )

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Chipmunk from the Re-Ment Gyu Gyu Pets series. It's sooooooooooo cute! And I love the fact that all the rement accessories are loose, so you can have the figures with or without the extra stuff : )

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
From the Re-ment "Yasashii Mori no O-Hanashi" (=Story of the Sweet Forest) series. The envelope sealed with an acorn is loose too..

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
K&M
This is probably the least favourite squirrel from my collection... but I love it still.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Unknown ones. I had totally forgotten about these, and found them while I was searching for something else. I have probably bought them at Skansen Akvariet (sthm, sweden), since I've visited that place for so many times and I used to buy little animal toys from the shop there... Anyways, these are made of shiny hard plastic and remind of some easter egg toys...

I see that I'm still missing at least the old Sch one, the most recent Bullyland and CollectA ones, Papo, Safari and Mojö + soooo many other lovelies<3
