PostSubject: My flea market finds   Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:44 pm

Hi! Near my home is a market place that has flea market every day in the summer. They have most sellers on weekends of course, but I visit there fairly often.
Lately I've found some rare figures there : )

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Last Saturday I found these!
All the Schleich ones were from the same seller. I nearly died when I found the jackal and the marten<3
Then I found a Bullyland fox (in rather poor condition, but I love foxes so much) and Bullyland T-rex from another table.
I believe that the tyrannosaurus is from the Bullyland standard dinos/medium museum series, which I collect (not very seriously, but if I see them at flea market etc, I buy them). It's marked with my birth year (1985), but is the series really so old? O_o;

Then today I found these:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Schleich edmontosaurus (I had no idea it was so huge!! The old parasaurolophus is much smaller), sea lion, rat (I actually got it for free!!) and meerkat.
Then a Safari baby t-rex...
And this weird cartoon elephant that is marked by Schleich. Does anybody have any information of it? It's soo cute : DD
Heh, I found also Disney's The Princess and the Frog DVD, which I've wanted to see for a long time...

I actually went back there to get the edmontosaurus. At first I didn't buy it because I didn't have enough money with me and I don't really like Sch dinos, but I felt bad for it at home and went back to buy it... haha. <3

I guess I can show this here, too... My mom is the only one in my family that gets my animal collecting hobby. She got this McDonald's tasmanian devil for me from a thrift store or something.
I did a little googling and I think that this was only sold in Australia and New Zealand. How it has traveled to Finland, is a mystery. It was still in its original package O_O

Anyways, I don't usually like McDonalds toys, especially the action figure ones... But this is really special and I love it :3

I became to like tasmanian devils when I did the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and got it :'''D
If you haven't done it yet, do it. It's really fun! : )

Absolutely fantastic finds bounce cheers
WOW! Marden ! Jackal ! Hamster ! and, - Very Happy

The little blue elefant is from the Schleich series " Die Kleinen". They are called "Cute Creatures" in English. There were four of each : Elefant, frog, pigs, rhinoes, mole and geese , all sort of cartoonish, and..yes, cute Wink

Before them ( 96 -97) there was a seies of 8 more accurate little animals.

Your Bullyland dino is not from the Museum line, they are a lot larger.
The little dinoes were made already in 1987.
You can see some of them here :

Thanks Kristie, Anna, Noora and Susanne!

Usually I seem to find only some non-retired Schleich figures that are in very bad condition. But still the sellers want almost the same prices as the new ones. It's insane. They seem to think that Schleich is such a wanted brand item that collectors pay anything of used and damaged figures. : (

I actually like getting figures from flea markets/thrift stores more than shops, because I want to give the unwanted toys a new, loving home. Even if the figures are in kinda shabby condition sometimes. And plus, you never know what you might find.

I agree, the jackal is one of the best! I never ever thought I could find it so easily.

Ahh, thanks for informing me about the Die Kleinen figures, Susanne! I googled them and found out that I have also a frog from this series!

Oh, I think I meant the same series, but with a wrong name. I got the information from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] And thanks for showing your figures! Now I know how some of them look, if I happen to find them somewhere : )

Heh, I love making little animations. And it was the easiest way to show how the figure moves : D
