Some of you may have noticed I am working on my different displays in July.  Wink

As I manipulated the models from different brands, different scales, I had the ideas to show you some portraits of my smaller and bigger animal models together.

I hope you will enjoy and, why not, play this game too  Very Happy

I love the pictures Christophe, and the concept of the thread. I had no idea that Papo had made a Brazilian Tapir. (Do you happen to know what their model number for the figure was?) I love all the figures, but the Starlux mountain goat caught my eye. I think that's just because I have Starlux on the brain right now.

Here's the only Lilliput and Brobdingnag combo I could think of from my collection and fortunately I already had taken a picture a while ago.

CollectA Red Kangaroo and the Bandai Kangaroo (male)

I also love the idea, mainly when people cares a lot with minimal differences of sizes between figures! Laughing

Thanks Kiki and Scott for showing! Very Happy

Is a good idea, Christophe.

I like to see in my collection various sizes of animals.

Comparison is important.

First, thank you for the link and the information Roger!

Second, Christophe, that's a fantastic custom! I love it! Seriously I hadn't seen that walkaround before and after following Roger's link just now, my first thought was, 'where you been all my life baby'? I really want a non-malayan tapir, which brings me to...

Third,

This is cheating slightly, since the figure to the left is, I think, a battered clay garden statuette. My girlfriend found it in a thrift shop.

I like to think of this as a far-off land where Dachshunds have built stone idols of their gods to worship.

Fantastic photos Ralf and Christophe cheers

I don't think I've ever seen the Gorilla or Orang-utan by BANDAÏ before, they're so detailed!

BANDAÏ small models are a big lesson for Western companies who are making bigger but less detailed figurines... I mean ALL the Western companies  Laughing

BANDAÏ, at least, is also a very good answer to people who think that a model "made in China" is always worse than a "made in Europe" model  Wink . BANDAÏ and KAIYODO are made in China and are excellent. So if a "made in China" SCHLEICH seems worse than "made in Europe", the problem is SCHLEICH... Not China  tongue

A few pics with BANDAÏ and SCHLEICH zebras will explain better  Wink

Ralf... I have no big babirusa, fennec, duiker or Pecari to compare with... So no competition and no pics  Wink  Very Happy

My focus was not in congenital malformations but the fact that the brand complicated the sculpting. These "broken" baboon tails are a dream for the brands once they turn easier the sculpting and also prevent that they break easily. JIM made them in a way that modern brands don't like! I know JIM made jouettes modernes but is not a modern brand. :)

Indeed it is a very dangerous thing to be modern because it is a very precarious status Laughing
