PostSubject: Found a couple of things   Fri Jul 27, 2012 5:48 pm

Ok, so I went garage/yard sale shopping with my mom today and found a few goodies. I found a little variant of my AAA arctic wolf, anyone seen it before? And a slightly damaged triceratops from AAA too.

Then I found a bull, he is marked 1999 TM bull made in china E. Is TM a brand? He is pretty scuffed, but kind of cute. Then a little parasaurolophus from safari ltd. He is scuffed too. What series is this from?

Then I found a bunch of Disney 101 Dalmatians figures. Most of them are copies of each other. I think they are cute too. Though most of them look a bit odd.

Then lastly a dog. I don't know what he is either. You can see he is marked china on the side, and then made in... but the rest is hard to read and he is so small it is hard to take pics of his belly.

Thanks!

I have a wildebeest that looks to be from the same unknown maker as your bull.

All it says is 1998 (TM)
wildebeest
made in china
0

A good sculpt marred by the crude join. I suspect a cheap company reusing a sculpt fr0m another company

TM in a circle is trade mark this has TM in a oval and makes me think it is the maker

Saarlooswolfhound is the TM on your cow in a circle or an oval

My Wildebeeast looks 90% like the picture you referenced roger, except the tail, horns and hooves are black and the head angle is a little different but if they are wam when they come out of the mold they might cool down in slightly different shapes and it is 11.5 cm at the withers

Still it is a bad join and i cant see a a major collectable company making them that way, unless the mold is old and sloppy and they lost interest or a thired party is using there molds

Thanks Ana, and Vondan! And Roger thank you so much! I said the dalmatians look a bit odd because the ones that look angry really do look a bit scary! But I adore the 101 Dalmatians movie and think these were very hard to resist! Wink Could you post a pic of the larger wolf? I think I have seen the white one, but is the one you spoke of dark with spots too? And yes I wish they had parents! My bull's mark is in an oval. So if it is in a cirlce or an oval make it more valuable? Is one or the other more desireable Vondan? And the link didn't work on my computer... scratch But thanks again!
P.S. I am not sure I want all these doubles of the dalmatians, so if anyone is interested please tell me and maybe I will get rid of some, but of course keep one for myself! Very Happy

Edit: never mind about the link, I found it. Embarassed

TM in a circle for trade mark just means the same thing as Copyright

TM in the oval sounds like it is the maker "Toy Major" as roger suggested

LOVELY finds Very Happy

The little parasaurolophus is from ine if the series "Authentics" from Safari. They were also sold by Schelich 1993
You can see some of the setsthat Safari still made in 2003 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

There were scans of the dealer`s catalogue 1993 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], but it seems that the pictures have gone scratch

Yours is bigger than the one in the picture I linked once this one is in comparison with a 54 mm figure.
Maybe a larger version from Tom Major? scratch

Yes Roger I am missing the playing lion cub. Sad And everyone else thanks for your comments! And Susanne I completely agree with you! Those animals come from the best period of schleich manufacturing and I am so jealous of collectors older than me who had the chance to get all the gems that came out then... there were so many figures that are fantastic and I am missing! I am looking for them every day, and hopefully one day I will have them all! Very Happy
