I like your pig collection but if I had the chance of picking only one my choice would be the Starlux babirusa! pig
I think the Safari warthog would be a good choice too and near future Mojo babirusa? :ig: Congrats! Very Happy

Really nice collection! And great pictures. Of the many I don't personally own or have not seen in person, the old Schleich Warthog looks really nice.

I had two reactions when I first saw those trophy heads (on eBay). On the one hand, like Lance, I was a bit aghast. At the same time, though, I love the sculpting of those heads, and I actually think the "trophy heads" are really more an opportunity to focus on sculpting just the head of an animal rather than attempting to represent the idea of killing an animal and mounting its head for decoration. (And, when you think about it, at least one of the likely reasons people wanted to mount actual animal heads in the first place was that the heads are beautiful look at. That's just one reason, I believe. There are others as well -- e.g. showing off the things you hunted and killed -- and I'm not necessarily endorsed those.)

I really like the K+M Red River Hog. (I'm hoping to get one.) And I think the Papo Wild Pigs are just great, the older one too. The one figure that was lovely in pictures, but slightly disappointing when I finally held it in my hands, was the Schleich Vietnamese Pig. It just didn't do it for me. I thought it might be that I only had one of the two variations; but I got the other and it still didn't really move me like the pictures had. Some models photograph really well.

Like Roger, I love and treasure the Starlux barirusa. It's a beauty.

Great collection SommoDrac.

I had the same feelings Scott, especially because they also produced an insect head trophies serie... Who could be the insane hunter confused Laughing .

I don't have any of them because each time I saw one, the last reaction is: G.. D... ! I would like to see the entire animal on my display What a Face Why did KITAN CLUB cut it ? affraid It is too cruel... For me Wink

Hi SommoDracorex

You have an interesting collection here. I like the way you have included the human figure in each photo to give an indication of scale.

To me the Starlux Babirusa is the best of the bunch simply because it is in a scale I love and it is one that is hard to find.
