PostSubject: My Horse Additions   Sat Sep 01, 2012 8:42 pm

Those of you that know me well, know that I am about the most wishy-washy collector that ever was. One day I need more Schleich, the next I have too many....I want to collect only Papos, then no, all brands are better!

Days when I'm mentally grounded....I like to collect what I love. And I love horses. Through the ups and downs of my collecting, the horses are always the core of my collection.

So this topic is going to showcase my horse additions...of all brands. :)

I'll start the most recent additions...

A Bullyland grazing horse that came in a great trade with Taylor. I really like him! He is smaller than I thought he'd be. I bet Susanne can help me identify/date him. :)

Another Bullyland, the new Appaloosa which came courtesy of Philipp. This one is BIGGER than I thought he'd be and to my surprise made in CHINA. The first Bully I've ever seen not made in Germany.
He is "charming" to say the least. I love you

Next is the older Safari Clydesdale mare and foal. Another charming pair. Laughing

But they are smiling, and I'm a sucker for any animal that is smiling. :)

And here are some older classic scale (1:12) Breyer Horses, the Mustang Family. It's always a treat for me to find Breyers with the original cardboard boxes!
This was the seller's photo

All beautiful horses and divinally pictured! Very Happy
The Safari foal has a unique morphology, fortunately he is smiling as you pointed. :) The Breyer mare has a somewhat fairy style not usual, I guess, but very beautiful indeed! flower

Thank you, Roger! The Mustangs (especially the mare) almost look like ponies, don't they?

I forgot an important horse! Another from Taylor, the Fjord VARIATION with no dorsal stripe. Very Happy

Yes, the mare remember a little a pony and also some horses from the other brands. The stallion I believe the sculptor wanted to give him a strong looking and did it successfully. He looks very proud! Very Happy Congratulations for your Fjord! Very Happy

Wonderful new additions. And I know exactly what you mean - I'm exactly the same! One week it's Papos only, then it's Bullylands again - or rather a Breyer and less of the little ones? Or better not another Breyer, because the shelves are already crowded to maximum? So don't worry, you are not alone Very Happy

The Fjord is a MUST for you, of course. I am so happy you got him cheers

Thank you Simone and Susanne! :)

Susanne, it was only recently that I realized there were two versions of the Fjord! I already had the one with the dorsal stripe, but now I have both! bounce

*sigh* Yet more of my grails... those Mustangs are just superb. Very Happy
I love that grazing horse! It's such a charming natural pose, and there aren't nearly enough model horses eating or drinking! It's also one of the more difficult poses to get right, so to me it's a sure sign the company is taking its horses seriously.
