PostSubject: Three-toed Sloths   Sat Sep 15, 2012 4:37 pm

Hi. I'm a wild animals figurine lover in Tokyo.

I love many strange mammals, nocturnal, arboreal, insectivora.. alien
Especially, pangolin, aardvark, flying lemur and all of Xenarthra (former Edentata)
..those exotic, stragest animals are among my most favorites
(Some day I really want to see them in the wild).

And also I love taking their lifelike? photos in diorama.

Here is my three-toed sloths hanging down from branch !

Thank you very much everyone !! Very Happy Very Happy cheers cheers

Thank you for asking the artist who made them.
As one time I mentioned on "Welcome on STS" board,
he is a Japanese artist named Mr.Jiro Miura, and his design studio is "Count Blue".
Here is his web shown below. alien
http://countblue.lolipop.jp/index.htm

He makes his every works out of pre-colored clay, and doesn't make any casting mold.
He never paints his works, and every models he made is one and only.
http://countblue1.blog59.fc2.com/blog-entry-86.html#comment83

This shoebill is a finger ring. He is now making many type of animal's rings.
http://countblue1.blog59.fc2.com/

Yes I have his several works. I'll upload their pics. by turn. Wink

It was difficult for me how to classify him, here"Custom figures" or "Japanese companies",
but I decided to upload here because of his characteristic technique.

And very sorry..when I asked him recently, he said he has verrry long waiting list of customers now,
so it's very difficult to say when he can get new orders from overseas.. Sad
