... Laughing How would the eyes of a Tyrannosaurus Rex? ... Since dinosaurs are reptiles, they have eyes like reptiles. With vertical pupils.

As long as we didn't saw those creatures alive, it always will be a guess...
We always thought that they were cold-blooded too, and there were a lot that had similar temperatures and metabolisms like the later mammals as they found out... Shocked
The Tyrannosaurus was probably not a hunter, but a scavenger...
So this shows that we can go in many directions...
Maybe they were crossed-eyed like my friend clarence from Daktari... scratch

I think that it is possible that not all dinosaurs had vertical pupils. still today there are lots of reptiles with round or oval pupils, for example colubrids, turtles and some lizards. :)

Not only do many reptiles have round pupils, but the current thought is that dinosaurs are more closely related to birds then reptiles, and birds all have round pupils. There were reptiles around while dionsaurs lived and they are very different from any dinosaur fossil, but the bone structure of dinosaurs is very similar to birds with hollow bones and hips that are like birds and mammals so they can walk with the legs and feet under the body rather then spread out to the side like lizards and crocodilians.

Exactly sir cheers

reptile is a very special word indeed... We have all reptiles ancestors and it doesn't mean we are reptiles.

It's better to talk of sauropsida I think.

Sauropsida ("lizard faces") is a group of amniotes that includes all existing reptiles and birds and their fossil forefathers, including the dinosaurs, the immediate ancestors of birds. The Sauropsida is distinguished from Theropsida ("beast faces"), more commonly called Synapsida, which includes mammals and their fossil ancestors.

So a bird is "not exactly" a reptile and it means a dinosaur is "not excatly" a reptile... It's a dinosaur or, more precisely, a Saurichian or an Ornithischian.

So you can imagine they have eyes like a croc or like a bird or... Like a dinosaur !
