yes, her paintwork is why i am willing to wait a year to get this horse! i spent a lot of time looking at work by other painters and no one pleased me like Maggie's work. i have found only a few photos of painted Superlumina on line. and none painted by Maggie. The model was released less than a year ago, so maybe they are working their way up in painters' queues and will be out soon. i've noticed a lot of Superluminas on artists' "progress report" pages. Did you see Maggie's custom remaking work? Unbelievable! _________________ carolynn

| You got her! She's stunning really. One of the few arab models I would like to add to my collection once. Don't you think of getting Supernova as a gaming partner for Superlumina? They look so cool together! It's very interesting to see her finished by Maggie. Hope you'll share some pictures when she's done:) By the way, is it the first AR in your collection? |

- Yes, I just had a look at her customised horses, WOW!!! I LOVE the buckskin Spanish Norman stallion
i know! and how about this former Family Arab Stallion ? hard to believe that was ever a FAS!!! For my mare, I'm thinking of the bright chestnut on the customized Sham. It's that or a dark chestnut, like a flaxen black chestnut or a liver. i'm sure when time comes to paint her, i'll be asking for suggestions! - Cyhyraeth wrote:

By the way, is it the first AR in your collection? I got a Superlumina!!! I know what you mean about Arab models --- i don't like a lot of them because they're so extreme. I don't like the ridiculously dished faces and over the top manes and tails that seem popular on Arabs. what i like about the Supers is that they are rational looking horses. Her mane and tail are all over the place b/c she's jumping around, not because they are ultra fancy. I also like that they are just goofing around, instead of being oh-so-beauteous. My friend saw Supernova in person at Breyerfest and said his playfulness is even more apparent in real life. But i'm still not tempted to get him because his pose makes my brain hurt. What is he doing? Speaking of crazy manes and tails, Trenzado's extreme mane is about the only thing that kept me from getting him. I was seriously wobbling and then i saw his mane side. *whew!*Superlumina will be my first AR horse. I have 4 of Ana's and one of Harriet's animals. I hope Superlumina will be my last AR horse, since I DO NOT need to get into AR horses! But, oh! no! "There will be a second version of Trenzado with a modified mane." |

| I love it! Wow, think about how much time and effort that took! Is it big like the larger Breyer models? It is absolutely gorgeous! |

| It is not easy to find a sculpture that gives justice to an Arab horse. Arabs are so wonderful that an heaven creation wouldn't be so splendorous. :) One of the options is to give action to the figure without detracting the morphology of the breed and highlighting its nobleness giving life to mane and tail. Also fantastic legs, neck and head/face! That figure is fantastic in all of these points and you're fortunate of getting one for yourself. I'm sure, after painted, it will look almost as glamourous than a sheep! |

Maybe that's why the only Arab resins I'm really in love with are made by D.McDermott (her Indian Fire and Indian silver are my love of a lifetime), several Arabs from Sarah Rose Papageno and Lajjina. And I'm still not sure about Sarah Mink's Orinocco and S.Eberl's Muscat. However, I got her Weather girl copy for Breyer, as I wanted to have at least one Arab from Breyer - Quote :

Well, that what makes them so stunning- the energetic and life-like poses:) That is why I love Sarah Mink's horses, Lynn Fraley's and this Super' pair:) - Quote :

I think this question no longer exists when you put him next to Superlumina or some other horse in a moving horse:) He's playing, and trying to attract it's attention, I think [quote]Speaking of crazy manes and tails, Trenzado's extreme mane is about the only thing that kept me from getting him. I was seriously wobbling and then i saw his mane side. *whew!* That was completely the same that prevented me from any attempts of getting him- his mane! Anyway, this stallion's fantastic - Quote :

I think Superlumina would be pleased to have such neighbour |
