Congratulation Bojan !

It's the first time I see a pic of the COLLECTA Loggerhead turtle, could you share more pics ? Or maybe make a Walkaround topic ?
I will buy the walrus soon and the beluga is very tempting Cool
Perhaps we will see an elephant seal or a hooded one in 2013 ?

I only have three COLLECTA Sea life but I love them a lot.

Thank you, guys.
Christophe, I'll try to make a Loggerhead Turtle Walkaround, but I must warn you I don't have such a great camera. Octopus is on my wishlist for a while now, but it's not available at MPV. What's the size of the whales and octopus?

The whales are smaller than the SCHLEICH ones, around 15cm long, but they are very fine.

The octopus is big as the M&B Schleich one Wink

Bojan, thanks for showing your CollectA sealife figures! I like the line and also that the figures are affordable. Very Happy
I have the sea lion, spermwhale and turtle. I had also the Emperor penguin but my niece wanted it for her collection once she love sleeping penguins! Sleep Laughing
Here goes a comparison picture with the sea lion and sperm whale. Not large at all, although too large for me. I'll keep it until find a Colorata sized one. Laughing Anyway it is a fantastic piece. cheers

They are all good, but I would have prefered more unknown species than that...

A Bowhead Whale perhaps? :) That would be fun. Maybe Mojo will have another voting on their FB page for 2014 models.

Thank you jonesee, Beluga is also my favourite and the turtle is stunning as well.

Thanks, Christophe & Roger for size informations, I saw the Blue Whale at our store and it was too small for me at that time. Maybe I'll change my
mind later, there should be something between the Schleich (now already old models) size and the size of the CollectA models.

But I'm a bit disappointed, I thought more people on this forum bought sealife figurines from CollectA. scratch

Not just a Bowhead whale, but also species such as a Bryde's whale, a Dall's Porpoise, a Commerson Dolphin, a Sturgeon, a Goblin shark, a Big Red jellyfish or a Dumbo octopus. Something different from what we see every day in the toy market.

PostSubject: Re: CollectA Sealife   Wed Nov 21, 2012 8:28 pm

CollectA is offering so many wonderful unseen land species, they could have made an offer to bring unseen species in their marine line as well. Who made a blue-ringed Octopus? A Pineapple Sea Cucumber? A Reticulated Sea Star? There are enough bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales in the toy market right now. Why make more? Why not give the chance to unknown species be more well-known?

You see, I read in a magazine, a long time ago, that people will give money for the conservation of animals THEY KNOW OF. African elephants receive a lot of money for their conservation because they are well-known and popular. Same thing for panda bears, who litterally won the Beauty Contest by the vote of the population. But when it comes to bearded boars, long-nosed bats, kodkods or coatis, their conservation is going slowly, because they won't receive much money. Why? BECAUSE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THEM. If only african elephants and giraffes are available on the toy market, how can we sincerely convince a kid about the richesness of nature? Won't he only know of african elephants and giraffes? See what I mean? Embarassed This is why I want so much companies make more unseen species. monkey

Sealife from CollectA is turning in a very interesting line. I am considering getting the river dolphin but it looks very simple and almost shapeless. Nevertheless, I enjoy that series and they are great additions. cheers Very Happy
