Sometimes, figures in completely different materials work well with one another. And figures made almost a century ago look good with a horse made in 2012.

The horse is a Helen Moore sculpt by Equorum ... stuffed latex on a wire armature with a mane and tail of alpaca-wool. The figures are an ancient Tipple-Topple farmer and his wife who have managed to survive the years repainted but without repairs.

Don't they look lovely together - did you repaint the man and woman yourselves? They're so wonderful, I love the colours.

You are right, this modern horse whose modern tag cannot be hidden, has a glamourous looking, remembering the most fabulous stories of Princes and Princesses. Anyway, the sheppard and farmer lady, with these cloths and fantastic detail, all attached to their Vintage charm, they beat easily any character of a fairy tale. The replicas of true life are always more fantastic than fantasy can be. Congratulations and thanks for sharing! Very Happy queen

Thanks everyone!

Harriet: Yes, I repainted the old farmer and his wife. When they arrived, along with some
other old farmworkers who had pieces missing, they were all a deep
purple-blue. Someone had soaked them in ink!

Roger: The thing I like most about the horse is his "real, honest horse" expression. He is
not a noble steed .... just a solid little workhorse that a farmer would be proud to own!
