The LINEOL series IV zebra walkaround by Kikimalou

Numaan asked me to share some pics of the LINEOL walking zebra. I know some of you have already made topics about the guy... But I couldn't resist !

This zebra was the third, and last, LINEOL zebra. The production began in 1940 and stopped in 1960 when LINEOL closed his doors.
You can find some regularly on eBay.de with different paintings. The rarest is a Zorse painting made in the 1950's.

IMHO, LINEOL was a specialist of "Best model ever..."

I remember commenting, a long time ago, that Schleich zebras were not masterpieces because the sculpting wasn't so good. Everybody got shocked except Christophe that asked me if I liked the Lineol zebra. I was watching it for the first time and commented that the sculpting was very good but not the painting! Well, zebras from Schleich are good but the masterpiece is the Lineol. Also can I read that Numaan is helping CollectA making a zebra for 2014 based on this figure? It would be an excelent idea. Honestly I was expecting new zebras from CollectA this year but probably its hard development is delaying it a one more year. I think Mojo also needs new zebras and Papo still hasnt made it yet if I'm not wrong.

I think you and i are the biggest defenders of old brands, and specially Lineol as some of the best models ever, so no discussion possible on this model either...
The sculpt is very good for its time, the striping could have some improvements, but we have to see that in perspective of time of course, so it has to stay as it is of course!
Indeed one of my very favourite zebra's untill now.
