CollectA 2013 Photos: Scimitar-Horned Oryx

Another prototype photo. Horn is being modified and the organge chest colour will be slightly richer in shade in the final plastic version. I have askd for the body coat to be smoother than what we can see here.

Love this one too! Pose seems to be inspired in old starlux one, isn't it? It's great to see modern companies learning from older wonderful brands

I can't believe how good this model is, for a first try!! It seems so lifelike and is such a welcome rare species. their nw 2013 lineup has some very rare and beautiful animals, schleich could learn something!!!

Good pose, tremendous species choice but still far from a good figure it seems. It is nice to know that some of them will be retouched.

Another critically endangered species. After the running Black wildebeest we needed another 'running' pose as opposed to the usual standing pose. Starlux Scimitar and VW Gemsbok were both inspirations for this as well as real life photos of running Scimitar's.

I ve been away from this blog for some days and as I came back...COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES!!! I was sure that the wonderful collecta animals you showed us last week were the whole 2013 production ...and now all these surprises! fantastic ones, I cannot choose they are all wonderful choices so long waited ad dreamt!! and now all they become reality, it is really like a dream, thank you Collecta! and thank you Numaan,,,can't wait to have them all!! I really love how this brand makes action models--other brands should take note--esp Schleich.

Are they going to modify the legs as well?
I think the legs are a bit too short, causing the oryx looks a bit like a goat. And a bit too thick, too.
