I only wonder why exactly this species was chosen. There are more aesthetic monkeys to my mind, and buyers like "cute" animals :)

This specie was chosen because it wins by far the "most wanted for MOJÖ 2013" on STS and FB. It seems buyers and collectors prefer proboscis monkey

No doubt about collectors, but how will buyers receive it?

If you dont make the animal then how can you know it won't sell?
For my mind every zoo i visit has many many primate enclosures, that's because children especially love monkeys.

I feel sure everyone will love him and besides as Kiki already said, this monkey was the top of everyone's list so he already has a good fan club

When they have the chance to find it somewhere,.....
I live for instance near a mojo seller, but still no wolverine, no orca, no bottlenose dolphin,...
So i expect the proboscis to appear in summer,....

It's so funny and colorful specie, I think it has good chances to find much more fans. :) I have feeling many kids will like to have it between other toys

Quite the contrary this proboscis monkey is the most unusual and interesting species among the all tree-dwelling monkeys

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally a new primate other than the great apes, mandrills, and baboon. this time a monkey! how great, even though mojo is not my favorite brand.

I am happy that one of my country's animal represented here.
It's called Bekantan in Indonesian.
And I like its pose.

Sorry not being so active last days but I'm glad seeing the all the enthusiasm arround a macaque. I think this is already the 2nd most famous macaque after Kikimalou?
