Is there such a thing, does anyone have a spreadsheet set up? How are you keeping track of what you have etc? My friend has put together a photo database on her mac, but sadly i only have windows. Please share, TIA

I have a spreadsheet of all Schleich animals except the dog, cat, and horse series and accessories, people, and plants, updated with the new 2013 animals. _________________ I would really like these Schleich: Mountain Goat Przewalksi's Wild Horse Quetzalcoatlus - 14506 Saltasaurus Swiss Cow & Calf Toco Toucan And the rest are here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

On top of this page there is a link to Toy Animal Wiki - if you click there and search for Schleich, you'll find tables about all animal series and also links to other sources about the brand. You can easily copy the tables to excel.

Thanks for all this will investigate further. My friend has set up an amazing system on her mac, she just copies a picture over of an item or puts the code in and all the data appears on a picture spreadsheet......so easy! I have now learnt to keep the tags on my new purchases and some are still in their boxes but most of my (gaining at a rapid rate!) collection is being played with and out on display.............in fact it's now taken over the playroom! Should these rarer items be kept in sealed bags? Presently the rare items are just on a shelf. It seems a shame to hide them away.

I also collect Starlux, and because they are made of hard and brittle plastic, I am going to wrap each figurine in bubble wrap before storing them away. I've already lost the tail from an otherwise flawless original (brown) wooly mammoth because I did not provide enough protection for it. Aaaaargh... This is one of my fears Phil. I have all my Starlux displayed, collecting dust, precisely because I'm terrified of packing them away and having a tail, or a horn, break off. The Impala, the Gemsbok, and the Babirusa are the ones that particularly scare me. I'm really sorry to hear about your Mammoth! that stinks. |
