Palomino Special is also one of my favorite, and very nice to see Schleich and Stablemate compared!
Stablemate looks SO fine  cyclops And a good size too along with detail it seems. Also better for the shelves and economy than those huge Traditional Breyers.

Breyers anyway, look fantastic! And I love their serious approach to breeds and sculpting accuracy, if just they were not so pricey and smaller... But then there are the Stablemates, that I've first discovered for real recently.. And I'm going to hit their road. And your photo just proves more to me, it's the right way  Cool

I can't be sure if you already have a stablemate in your hands. But if not, I must say that they belong to a very different kind of figures. They are of a brittle hard plastic and the way they're manufactured doesn't allow these figures of being richly textured. They are fragile and painting is often shiny even when the finish is not properly glossy. scratch
Though, they are competently sculpted, good conformation and proportions, beautiful sculpts respecting the general characteristics of a breed or close related group of breeds.
The painting is also fine, they use a lot of different equine colors, this one is a rose grey, something that I don't know if was ever used in a major brand. They look more like little jewels than toys. I love and recomend them, but forget Schleich, Mojo or CollectA, they are something really different. flower

Yes, there are the stablemates, and if you want to get even smaller go with the micro minis.  I love you

Some days ago, a package from Susanne arrived full of wonderful Mojo figures.
I want to start with the Mojo emu, a figure that was planned to be released in 2012 but ended as a 2013 release due to manufacturing adjustments. study
I have to say that I would never be able of seeing how good this figure is without having it in my hands. One of my favorites for 2013, really excelent work from Mojo! cheers The level of detail is supreme! Very Happy
The plastic has a softer feeling when compared with other Mojo figures, probably to turn it more resistent. Curiously, it is pleasant to the touch, mainly on feathered area.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The first recently extinct figure from Mojo, a Anna's sculpt, the quagga! Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Maybe the most wanted mustelid of ever and in a complete family of three! :)
Much more I look much more I like. cheers
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Susanne decided to add two extras. I stopped collecting prehistoric mammals due to wallet things but she decided that I could not live without these two. Laughing
Oh, and how great they are, I got really impressed with them! Shocked
Here is the hyaenodon, what a great figure! cheers
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

... and here the daeodon pig Very Happy I know some people wanted it more ferocious, why more? It is a great figure too and specially charming, in real I only have to agree with Susanne, coloring is not the most atractive but we never know how did they look. Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Another extra from Susanne is this quite cute 2014 Schleich squirrel monkey. My first 2014 figure. Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Here it is with my Chap Mei squirrel monkey.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Some days later, Schleich arrived in local shops and I bought the Eastern chipmunk. Very Happy (Made in China]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Purchased also a figure for my niece, this is terribly cute... incredible! flower Schleich 2014 donkey foal made in China! :)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Then, a package from Yvett arrived! Inside, only gifts, extras and presents! Laughing Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Among others, some Reisler figures. Very Happy

Black panther on log
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

My most wanted Reisler figure of ever, this crazy dromedary!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

This friendly gorilla. monkey
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

These lovely chimps! I love you
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

And a surprisingly modern looking penguin! Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

From Shawn, also a gift, the discontinued Safari crocodile hatchling hatching. geek alien
I love it a lot, Safari knows the meaning of educational figures and we should praise it.
I love the way the animal is curled with the tail out. Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

To finish my additions, those figures that we shouldn't buy once we don't collect them.
But I saw it in a local shop and I couldn't resist, I must be stronger. pale
It is Papo Thoroughbred mare in bay, my pictures are not good but I find it wonderful and it looks very graceful from all angles!!! Very Happy
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Again thanks to STS friends, particularly Susanne, Yvett and Shawn, you're all very generous!!!! cheers cheers cheers

I didn't know the Quagga was by Anna, very nice  Applause It is a very good choise of specie I think!

Thanks Fernando and Yvett! SleepVery Happy

There is a long time without posting new additions and I needed to step up some of them, though, I want to show these 4 gifts I received from glorious Susanne.
Mainly, this first animal. Do you know these figures that you see for the first time and you can never forget it anymore? It happened a long time ago when I started on this forum. Sleep
... and now, here is it, the splendid Bullyland paratypothorax, a replica of a bizarre looking creature and Susanne found it for me and with informative tag.

A comparison with Schleich glyptodont

Together the new Safari colared peccary

Here a comparison with the Schleich warthog
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

... and the Mojo Tasmanian tiger, sculpted by Anna, here in comparison with a old Schleich tiger
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

... and have you ever seen a generous gift like this one?
Can you see what it is? Yes, the special edition of Schleich white Friesian. ... and it is not for me but for my 8 years old niece.
To many collectors it could represent a heresy to give to a children a figure as wanted as a collectible as this one is, mainly to a girl that still play with these figures.
But Susanne, knowing I was watching on Toy Animal Wiki, several pictures of white horses with my niece and knowing that this Frisian was her favorite among plenty of them. she Soon found Nicole could be a good owner to it.
Of course I'll tell my niece how special it is, being a limited edition, hard to find and a tremendous gift from a friend what means she will learn how to treasure it. It can also represent a different way to Nicole collect. I really hope that later, she turns in a member of our forum and at that time she will give the correct value to this gift from Susanne. flower

Once more many thanks to  Susanne from me and my niece. cheerscheerscheers
