| This is a soap our Russian artist is making upon request:) I think some molds are familiar to you:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Do you think, is it right to make such soap, or one should use less complicated molds for such a nonsense? Most of our local collectors think, that it's not a good idea, but I believe that it's not neccesarry to use it (as sometimes we don't eat choco figures and don't burn nice candles), we can just place such animals next to the OF plastic ones:) |

| I think in general it is nice idea and nothing worng of course. As far as this person use own sculptures as a models it's quite cute :) However using molds of Schleich animals is not really good idea unless someone bought licence from Schleich I would go really mad if someone made soap from mold of my animal (so basically take all the shape from my work and just cast own copies). It's not so difficult to take silicone mold from any animal figure but authors rights exist, aren't they? _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Anna I also don't like the idea of using one's mold without permission. I don't think that the girl kept in touch with Schleich and Bullyland However, I've seen choco figures made on these molds, jewelry boxes and so on. Really, I have no idea if any of those manufacturers asked Schleich if they can use their molds for such experiments. But I was asking about the idea of making soap itself=) |

| Yes, in general if I have such soap I probably wouldn't use it, it would just stand next to other items from collection :) For washing I prefer normal shape of soap so I don't have to think, "oh no it was so nice thing and from now it will be only soap" _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Anna You remind me of a funny case about ten years ago, when I went to Poland. We lived in Gdansk, and one day I realised, that the soap that we could find in our hotel rooms caused allergy in me. So I went to the nearest shop and got soap there. It was good, the only problem was that it was shaped into hen with chicks. I spent nearly an hour trying to start it, but than put it away and went to the same shop once more "to find some other soap". I bought a piece of soap like aan apple, but failed to use it as well. The third attempt... And some more fruits and a squirrel were added to my soap collection) Well.. All these pieces came to Russia safe and whole, as I couldn't 'spoil such a beauty' and used a bath gel instead of soap)) |
