PostSubject: Saarlooswolfhound's art   Saarlooswolfhound's art EmptyThu May 23, 2013 2:52 am

Ok, so I was really intimidated by all of the wonderful artists on here already, so that's why it has taken me so long to share these. Most of them are older, so they aren't perfectly accurate, but I have gotten better since. Also my photos (I don't have a scanner) aren't the best (some are fuzzy or dark) because my camera was determined to sabotage my art, making pencil lines really visible. Just know they look MUCH better in person. Hope the fuzziness doesn't keep you from looking at these. Also, I use reference pics often to make sure I get dimensions etc right, so you might notice some popular pics from the internet, books, and magazines, but many are mine. Well, here ya go.

OMG! Those are FANTASTIC! I love them!
The deer is amazing! (Mule or whitetail? The antlers suggest whitetail, the head markings suggest mule) Laughing
The skull is also amazing! Such amazing detail!
My brother is drooling over my shoulder right now looking at the wolves and dogs.

Thanks guys, a few of those I did in my high school art class, but most of them are just independent study and for fun. The buck is supposed to be a whitetail, I don't normally draw deer often and this head shot came from a calendar of big bucks. The Tasmanians, owl, skull, dinosaur, orcas, and blue ringed octopus are from my art classes. The dogs, horses, and wolves are my favorite (and easiest) things to draw. In particular, the one white dog with a sweater and his one ear turned out is a drawing of my dog Pippen when he was playing in our living room. Normally he is fluffier, but he had just gotten a hair cut, so if you have seen pics I have shared of him before that's why he looks thinner and taller. Once again, thanks for viewing!

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate your comments and to hear your favorites. Sounds like the owl is about the most popular so far. Thanks for viewing.

Thank you Susanne and Roger. Very Happy Susanne, I'm glad you saw this thread. Right now my interests (other than collecting of course Wink ) lie in photography (I have a thread of that also on here in the outdoor photos section) and drawing. I haven't been drawing hardly at all this past school year other than half finished doodles because this particular year has been very busy and grueling. Now I hope that since its summer, I can find more time for it.
