| Thank you everyone! Harriet, I hear she wasn't entirely displeased. Perhaps she'll pop by the forum later on and show us all the lovely Yujin dogs she got in the trade - now, those are something to be thrilled with! |

| Here are some dog collars and harness I did recently to stretch my fingers and brain in between sculpting hours. I've worked the leather from scraps of varying grains and thicknesses, and the hardware (excepting chain and nailheads) is handmade too, bent from wire. The tags were cut out of plastic advertisements. (The rolled leather of the Alsatian's half-choke collar is stiff still, and needed something to pull on the chain in order to stay in shape. Hence the random sewing thread descending from the heavens.) The Boxer's collar sports a feeble attempt at beading. The beads were far too large and the leather too thin for a cut insertion, so they sit too high. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Whippet and setter's collars are half-choke and quick-release respectively, with coiled spring locks fashioned from silver wire. | They're pretty neat - so tiny! Must have been a fiddly job making them! What brand is the sitting Doberman? _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Great customs and great collars etc! I love them all, I wouldn't have the patience for it, so I commend you. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Thanks! The collars and other tack are fiddly work indeed. Perhaps ironically, they're also what I tend to do (well, besides quiet swearing and furious coffee) when I lose my patience for the sculpting and customising. They're angry collars, these. |

| Here are a few quick customs I've done recently. First is a slightly repositioned repaint of the Safari River toob otter: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][Edit May 31st, 2014: Sorry, I lost that pic, it appears.] And a quick repaint of the Safari Desert toob roadrunner together with a repainted Schleich cat who was also resculpted to have polydactylia of the front paws, thicker cheeks and more of a belly (he was a portrait piece, so..).
