Help out a fellow collector and tornado survivor? Empty

Hi there,

I've been a bit of a lurker since joining, but I have a story to bring to you and a small request. I'm sure some of you have heard the news stories about the EF-5 tornado that hit Moore, Oklahoma on May, 20th.

Two of my dear friends lost their home and nearly all of their possessions in the storm. Fortunately they and all but one of their pets were safe, but their personal items are gone. The husband, Paul, is an artist and animal lover, and he had a collection of Schleich figures. Unfortunately we haven't found any of them, they seem to be scattered to the winds.

This is him standing in front of what's left of their house with the remains of one of his paintings:

His website:

What I was wondering is if anyone would be inclined or interested to send a figure or two to help him get started again? His favorites are cows, wild animals and dinosaurs. Schleich, Papo, Safari, etc would be fine. Maybe if you have an extra send it along to a collector who lost it all?

Please let me know if you'd like to help, send me a PM and I will give you an address and/or more info. I'll make sure to update with pics and confirmation that any donations get where they need to go.

Thank you for just reading this, it's appreciated. :)

~Jenn

By damn, certainly! PM sent.

I feel bad for the bloke and his family (hope that one pet is found..), but somehow the thought of all those figurines just pulled up and thrown all over the countryside by the wind makes me a childish sorry for the figurines, too. On the other hand, maybe someone will stumble upon some of them some day, find little treasures amongst the debris?

Got your PM and answered! Thank you!

We're still looking for the lost kitty. I'm hoping maybe someone took her in and decided to keep her, she  is a very sweet little girl.

He makes prop replicas too, including a full-size Ark of the Covenant from Raiders of the Lost Ark. It was in an outbuilding that is now totally gone, but we have been very amused at the thought of someone finding it and trying to decide whether to open it. lol.
