| Tin of animal treasures by Chris*4, on Flickr All of these animals date from the mid 1960’s to the mid 1970’s. They are what my wife, Jane, used to play with and I can remember most of these too. Unfortunately, mine where given away many years ago. So this tin houses the wonder of childhood for both of us. I am sure that most of S.T.S. members will also have fond memories of these animals. _________________ Chris |

Have they been kept in that tin ever since ? Hello Susanne Jane has told me that these old animals were kept in this tin for most of the last 50 years! Just opening the tin lid brings back those wonderful memories. The tin originally had Huntley and Palmers “Family Circle” biscuits. I remember these biscuits too. They were usually bought for Christmas as they were to expensive to buy for any other time. But Christmas was and still is a time for special treats. _________________ Chris |

| Great collection, very nice to see them all still together. They must have lots of interesting stories to tell one another _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

| Chris, what a fantastic post! It's so wonderful to see the tin and its contents. My mom visited us recently and brought a couple of old plastic dinosaurs I used to play with. It was very nostalgic. |

Thank you Scott and my apologies for not replying sooner. Do you have any pics on those old dinosaurs? _________________ Chris |

| This is wonderful Chris, I love little boxes full of treasures - I wish I could have been around when these animals were available to buy in shops, must have been so exciting seeing them all new and wondering which one to buy. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Wow. You are very lucky to have such a tin and also to have a wife that shares your animal intrest
I love the timpo camels and the kangeroo. I had the noahs arc set of these . I used the camels to make a "push me pull you" I still have it.
Also the ever difficult to find eland.

Do you have any pics on those old dinosaurs? Hi Chris! I don't have photos on hand, but I'll try to take some soon. It's a good idea. |
