Awesome Dunkleosteus from Rumania

Today this terrible fish, a Dunkleosteus, was in my mailbox :

It came all the way from my friend Mihnea in Rumania.
It is really, really well made, the picture does not give it justice, but it is the best, I can do

The skin has a golden hue, it was lying on my desk, it almost scared me, it looks like a real fish

Thanks, Mihnea, you opened a new world to me

Dunkleosteus is considered one of the fiercest and most marine predators , his weighing one ton, this hunter was the top of the food chain in their environment, and probably preyed all kinds of wildlife.

Maybe it took so long, because the fish and the surprise-bird were discussing ? But as you can see, they are very good friends now

It looks gorgeous. Dont realy collect prehistoric life but I just might consider buying it.... someday. Feels like my wishlist has become a little too big.

Love the fish figures, I have a lot of the Japanese ones and a few fossils but I traded some of my bigger scale figures away as I am trying to cut back my collection.

Safari are the best in creating authentic prehistoric creatures and dinosaurs.
Modern wildlife...not so much.
