Walrus with changed teeth/tusks?

From Portugal and one of our very good friends came a brand new walruss for me, and as I am beginning to be interested in sealife, I had to take a picture for my homepage

Then I remembered I had an old one in a box somewhere, - and comparing, their teeth (are they called tusks ?) were not similar

The one to the left is from portugal, probably painted by Maia + Borges, - is that why the teeth are different, or do all new walrusses have thicker teeth ?

My walrus is 3-4 years old and it has thin tusks!

I have one too. Equal to your, but the old, and the thees are just like the right figure..

Maybe Shcleich have change for protect the children that buy the animals..
I think who paint the figures, can't change them :)

You guys won't believe it, but right now I was looking for a walrus to buy, and I've discovered that it is VERY hard to find! The walrus is DISAPPEARING, literally!
Soon, it will "extinct" from the market, so hurry up and buy him!
I just bought mine for $8.50 + $8.45 for shipping (!) but I didn't care, for I know how difficult it's gonna be to find it once retired.

Well, compared to Danish prices, that is a normal price, - except for the shippong on to, of course

There are a lot of walrusses in Portuguese Schleich shops! Boys and girls don't want it!
Susanne, you have a special walrus, It is Maia & Borges, I don«t know why they removed the tag, but our great admin shown a flyier with it and other intersting figures!

Pointed tusks look more realistic...it's just the mouth shape looks funny. What were they thinking when they made this figure?
I prefer the Safari LTD. Walrus!

Yes, the poor creture would starve if he didn´t have pointed tusks, - and could not fight other males.

About his looks, - he is a relatively old guy, was designed in 96-97 for the marked in 98. Schleich in general were more "abstract" then, - which I personally find very charming
