The lori looks like the Safari Ltd Exotic Birds Toob parrot figure repaint. It's probably just a repaint.

Most of the vintage companies don't exist anymore.

Collectors who research these items sometimes seek out former owners and employees, usually very old people by now if still alive at all, so sometimes their sons and daughters.

You might be surprised how easy it is to find many vintage figures.
Well it is in Europe anyway, perhaps not so much in the US.
