WIP: Damaliscus dorcas

I started this one a couple of months ago, or maybe a bit earlier... But never found time to finish him. And finally I´m near to! I still need to work on him a bit as you may notice, but I wanted to share it with you! He´s my first non-equine sculpture, and the first one with a single point contacting with the base. I used Sculpey and Epoxi clay. The scale is 1:22 approx. I really hope you like it!

Silvia, I must confess I'm very impressed!!! Not because of your talent because we already knew how talented you are. But because you are really brave, that's a hard figure and you decided to start your adventure out of equine world making a sculpture in such an expressive, exciting and hard making pose.
It looks I must visit this tread often and looking forward to see it painted.

Honestly, I´ve thought about making a mould, but I´m not really sure about this... I´d love to be able to make a good mould, but I´m afraid about damaging the figurine in the process and getting a bad mould :/ Anyway... If there were more people interested I´d try to do some resin copies :) I have a Schleich Oryx, I´ll search it to make a size comparison photo.

I´ve edited the main post adding a size comparison photo. Some of my friends have asked me for a copy, so I´ll buy the matherials and try to do copies of it before painting him ^^

Today I bought the matherials I need to do the mold, so I hope to be able to start it tomorrow ^^ I can´t wait to finish it and paint it!
