Thanks to Paige's keen ebay spotting, I have finally added a few of the elusive CP Toys "Kitty Cat Park" cats to my tiny cat collection. [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] They are most interesting to me because they are the same molds as the Play Visions and Club Earth sets, which started my collecting, and they are even stamped exactly the same way with the same numbers. So I am curious, does the same place make figures for all three? Do we know who manufactures Constructive Playthings toys? I am assuming Constructive Playthings and CP Toys are the same company, but I don't see either on TAW, so I assume they are not producing very many animal figures. This is the original photo from the company of all 16 cats. There are two of each mold, but they do not have the Rex ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), the Burmese ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), the Abyssinian ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), or the Persian ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]). They have the Shorthair, Unmarked cat, Siamese, Manx, Somali, Himalayan, and Angora. It's funny to me that the unmarked cat is in every set, and always remains just 3 CHINA with no breed: And here are my 5! Angora, Birman, Himalayan, Unmarked, and Manx. They are definitely less well painted than either of the other two sets, and the "Birman" is colored like a Turkish Van which I think is interesting. Anyway, I was very excited to find these and just curious what we know about the company that sold them! |

I found some of these cats and I am curious about them as well! Mine do not have a breed and origin (even an incorrect one) on the bottom, only 1990 Made in China New-Ray Novelty and a number (except one). I also notice TAW has all the breeds listed. Do we know which unpictured breed goes with which cat? Here's what the bottom looks like. I agree about the face for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but it is also valid for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] when you suggest a Pomeranian. I was not suggesting exactly the Japanese Spitz breed but one of the Spitz type breeds from Japan. Though, I could have found a better way to write it. [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] One thing is for sure, it is a Spitz, it has a mane, most don't have, erect ears and pointy nose. I am sure one of the breeds match but I don't know which exact one. It is clear for me those models are made after specific breeds and they're actually very nice tiny figures. |

One more mistery, Fernando! Please help me, I am quite blind, is it marked 1997 and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]? This is a billy-goat while the figure on TAW is a nanny-goat. We have a complete farm set as you can see here but a few figures have relevant variations. Though, all are different colors not different sculpts. I really don't know where to put this figure, We need to check if there is an alternative farm set. Our Play Visions experts probably don't know this model and it shows how rare it must be. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], we are aware of it because we worked during many years in this subject. Thanks to all this work, any collector now, even if unexperient, just needs to check TAW or STS to find it out in a few minutes. - bmathison1972 wrote:

I just pulled it out and my Zopherus is marked with B4 Oh, can you see how interesting it is for sorting this set? B4 is one of the "numbers" missing. It would be very useful if you could check the last three missing and the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in this link. It may mean the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] are from a different set and you may find interesting variations for your collection among them. This set was built piece by piece on TAW, I still have to rename it to Wing Mau Beetles instead of Insects, we didn't know they were all beetles when we started building it as "XX Insects" in 2015. It is a pity your topic is not with individual pictures or I'd fill up the holes. |

The iguana in the middle, that is the Wild Safari iguana, correct (not an IC figure)? If so, I think it is retired; it's very hard to find! It is hard to find a 'standard' sized iguana. |

Sirenia (Phylum Chordata), best known as sea cows, are fully aquatic, herbivorous mammals that inhabit swamps, rivers, estuaries, marine wetlands and coastal marine waters. Four species are living, in two families and genera. These are dugongs (one species) and manatees (three species). Sirenia also include the Steller's sea cow, extinct since the 18th century, and a number of taxa known only from fossils. The order evolved during the Eocene, more than 50 milion years ago. Subspecies of the manatee are the Amazonian manatee (Amazon basin in South America), the African manatee (western coast of Africa) and the West Indian manatee (Florida and the Greater Antilles, Mexico, Central America, northern South America and northeastern South America). The latter is divided into two subspecies: the Florida manatee ( T. m. latirostris) and the Antillean/Caribbean manatee ( T. m. manatus). Another possible species of manatee is the dwarf manatee ( Trichechus pygmaeus), which has lots of similarities with the Amazonian manatee. If you look at the other photographs in the topic on the AnimalToyForum, you see some cartoonish animal figurines with big heads. With help from Susanne, I found this. It shows a line of Japanese capsule toys, all extinct animals, including some very interesting species. But, of course, also a Steller's sea cow! The pictures are a bit weird, as if they're from some sort of leaflet. But when I continued my research, I found this this site. I have no idea what the chattering man is telling, for the page if full of strange symbols instead of words, so I can't use Google Translate to know what he's telling me. But the sea cow figurine you see on this page is definitely the one from Susanne's link! Here he is: Look, what a jolly fellow <3 But I still don't know what brand this cartoonish series is. So if anyone knows more, please, let me know!
