Thanks to Paige's keen ebay spotting, I have finally added a few of the elusive CP Toys "Kitty Cat Park" cats to my tiny cat collection. [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] They are most interesting to me because they are the same molds as the Play Visions and Club Earth sets, which started my collecting, and they are even stamped exactly the same way with the same numbers. So I am curious, does the same place make figures for all three? Do we know who manufactures Constructive Playthings toys? I am assuming Constructive Playthings and CP Toys are the same company, but I don't see either on TAW, so I assume they are not producing very many animal figures. This is the original photo from the company of all 16 cats. There are two of each mold, but they do not have the Rex ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), the Burmese ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), the Abyssinian ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), or the Persian ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]). They have the Shorthair, Unmarked cat, Siamese, Manx, Somali, Himalayan, and Angora. It's funny to me that the unmarked cat is in every set, and always remains just 3 CHINA with no breed: And here are my 5! Angora, Birman, Himalayan, Unmarked, and Manx. They are definitely less well painted than either of the other two sets, and the "Birman" is colored like a Turkish Van which I think is interesting. Anyway, I was very excited to find these and just curious what we know about the company that sold them! |

I found some of these cats and I am curious about them as well! Mine do not have a breed and origin (even an incorrect one) on the bottom, only 1990 Made in China New-Ray Novelty and a number (except one). I also notice TAW has all the breeds listed. Do we know which unpictured breed goes with which cat? Here's what the bottom looks like. Again, I wished our mini lovers were more active in this thread but you're doing a fantastic work sorting these cats. The yellow farm cat is a kind of peculiar thing about the Play Visions set and if it ever existed, it may be an identifying feature of this particular set. It could be a decision based in the fact that #8 and #9 offered by the manufacturer are so alike, thus Play Visions prefered a different color version of the Farm #23 instead of two alike cats in the same series. But it is hard to tell. Thus, I followed your suggestion and now the #8 on Play Visions set is the Brown Birman and the newer one is on Club Earth set. I added a note on PV Birman page and listing like that allows us to present different pages to two very different versions. About the Abysinian, I haven't listed it yet and I surely don't have an opinion about it. The fact you've found the unmarked is #3 gives to me the perception that it is really from these sets. Why is it not marked with a breed I don't know. I listed it as a British Shorthair but the green eyes are consistent with the Russian blue so I will fix it and put a note they're not identified. Please could you check if I placed these #3 cats correctly? Susanne's Siamese deserved to be revisited. Oh, you're close from completing your series. I believe you're having fun and that's the most important when we enjoy collecting these figures regardless of their collecting value. |

Sorry for not quoting you, it is easier for me like that because I have 11 dogs to put on TAW. [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] First, markings are not part of the mould, they can be added later. How do I know it? Because I used to receive factory samples from Mojö Fun and once I commented with the manager that it was interesting that they were not even marked withthe brand name. So, he told me that they could put the markings on my figures if i wanted. [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] Of course I didn't want. Thanks for all information, it was easier if your Dachshund was the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] instead. So, could you check again your Pomeranian? Isn't it [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] or [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] instead? Well, the two sets story can explain why you have two [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and two [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. @Whitelighteningwolf is the real expert about these brands, I am not even sure I have a single Club Earth model. I will list them in a gallery, without numbers but in each page I will put the numbers we know for each model. If [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] finds his models, maybe he can give us some light about the numbers or maybe we will find them useless. - Saarlooswolfhound wrote:

Paige, can you check the number of your Pug? Is it # 2 too? |
