Bullyland Wisent rework - Bison bonasus caucasicus - Caucasus Wisent

Extinct. At least as a subspecies. Still roaming parts of the remaining Wisent population, as there is mixed bloodline bonasus x caucasus existing.  "Caucasus", the last living male was studbook Number 100 and his genes enlarged the pool of the very few survivors. In the Caucasus today, there is a an even more mixed form living today, as the wood bison Bison (bison athabascae) wasmixed into the mixed wisent bloodline. Those animals are now called "montanus", or at least some scientists suggests to name them like that.

the Bully Wisent is more meant to be the mixed type, but the head is odd either and the horns make it look more like a wooly Aurochs than a Wisent.the paint's not dried yet, better pictures will follow as soon as the repaint is finished. Also, the figurine is actually darker than the pictures suggest, as the subspecies was darker too, the museum animal may be lighter due to age of preparation.

I believe it doesn-t need a darker head and it is already looking really great. Bully did a great work with the figure but you always improve everything even horns!
As Ralf is suggesting, you would win a lot with better pictures of your excelent works. Well, I shouldnt say it once I am the worst photographer of STS but I have anything special to show contrarily to you. I have the AAA Iberian lynx you reowrked and repainted and I know what you are able of doing.

Thanks Ralf, Nando and Rogério. Indeed, a insufficient camera ruins every effort. As in this case. I changed horns and head a little, as "Watussi-Aurochs"-Wisent had a little not enough nose to be an impressive bull. Horns, head and entire paintjob have changed since last evening, after some corrections, i will post some better pics the next days.

I agree the lighting is a bit dark for the colours to show up, I understand that evasive attempt of trying to capture the actual colour of the repaint which can only be viewed best through the eyes instead of photos. It's already a gorgeous figure but I can't wait to see the final piece!!
