Photos of Schleich 2013 14698 Manta Ray

My trip to Toys R' Us today rewarded me with the new manta ray! It's much better than I expected, and larger. I also expected it to be the new rubbery-type material that I don't care for, but it's not!  

A lot of the rays in the store had paint loss already, but I found one that was still in good shape. Here he is!

That is a nice manta! I also enjoyed the painting of the ventral part.
I think manta is also made of new matterial but as it is a very flat figure it gives a different tactile experience. Until now, the only figure that really looses with this material is the blue whale, I had the chance, recently, of picking up the new blue whale and it was together with the retired grey whale, and the old solide and heavier plastic gives a much better feeling and even more "prestige" to the brand. Also the new whale, although with a pleasant slender body, looks less detailed. The big advantage is that it is much cheaper than the grey whale even it is only a litle smaller.

I don't feel any pressure. Not to make excuses, but it's just that I can't find it in any store around here (I prefer buying them in stores) and my camera on my mobile phone isn't that great  That's the reason why I haven't shown my collection.
