| I agree with Juan, I have most of the sea life from Papo and I haven't been disappointed with any of the painting, just the molds. I can't really explain why those particular figures had bad paint jobs Maybe it was it was one of their workers who didn't have as much experience as some of the others? Or like they say, they're handpainted and we should expect variations? |

| I have mixed opinions on this issue. (Although, I can't speak to the Sea Life and so I'm definitely not disagreeing with anything Orcagirl wrote.) I don't think Papo has issues with painting in general. However, it's also true that the paintwork on the Grizzly (especially) and the Tigress did not turn out to be as strong as Papo's stock photographs led us to expect.
At the same time, I don't think I was nearly as disappointed by these figures as others. I just love the Grizzly Bear, as well as the Tigress. The painting of the latter doesn't bother me at all. It's not as good as the photographs, but did not let me down in person. In the case of the Grizzly, yes, I was a little let down, at first. But I still think it's a great sculpt and after my initial disappointment, I'm really happy with the model (one of my favorites of 2013). |

| It could also be that Papo decided to try a different paint style. From the pictures, it looks like the tigress was actually molded in orange rather than painted. Maybe Papo is like Safari Ltd. and has each worker paint a different part of the figure and it just didn't turn out well? I really can't say why they turned out that way. If this was brought to Papo's attention, perhaps they could change something about the painting on the figures? Then again, I'm not sure if they are like other companies and are willing to listen to what the collectors think. Down the line, they may change it on their own. I've noticed some of the sea life figures look different now than what I've purchased a few years ago. |

| Talking about painting, I believe Papo can definitely show improvement in this area. For example when you look at Papo dinosaurs usually have superior painting job than the others and obviously the price is higher. Or perhaps costing needs to be justify too and all it depends on the chief operation officer directions and concerned.
Finally, I still agrees that Papo did a lot of good figurines. Lets' hope the 2014 releases will have excellent paint job as good as their stock photograph or not too worst. |

| Oh wow! Finally indeed. They even made the effort to make the site in different languages. I appreciate that from Papo. (It also causes some funny moments for now, because the pictures and names don't always depict the same animal. Check out Gorilla and Giraffe male for example.) |

| The weimarner still looks a little weird to me, but not awful. This looks like a good year for me. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs.
