| Hello.
I can get both new sets--Japanese mammals and venomous animals--including the former for less than the current $50 including shipping on eBay right now. Can't promise to beat the cost by much, but I can definitely do it. I was thinking I'd have all sets shipped in August after the prehistoric marine life and new Japanese regional animal sets release, though depending on how many people order I might have these two sets sent right away.
If anyone is interested in one or both sets, please contact me immediately.
Thanks. Brett |

| I've gotten as many complete Japanese mammal sets as my source could obtain. If you are interested in individual figures, or in the toxic animal set, you can still let me know.
If you are interested in the next set, the prehistoric marine animals, due July 20, please let me know ASAP. I will be having all three sets shipped to me after its release.
I'm also taking requests for the August set with the hatching box turtle, moth, sow bug, etc., now., but wont be having them shipped until after new sets release in the fall to save on combined shipping.
I'm also working on some older, particularly aquarium, figures. I know my source got many of the ones I requested for myself, but I don't yet know which. I'll update here and if anyone is seeking any aquarium figures, please let me know as well.
Thanks. Brett |

| Another member just sent me a photo of the next set, 5 owls. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Please let me know if you are interested in this one. Also, I have a contact with access to aquarium sets 5 and 6 and the new deep sea set via randomly dispensing machines at a local aquarium. This is my only current source for aquarium figures (in addition to my Capsule Q Museum figure source) so if interested in any of these, please let me know. Thanks. Brett |

| I don't see a date on the page but I'm guessing since the prehistoric marine set releases this month and the next Japanese animal set in August, that it will be in either August or September. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]There's also a pretty impressive Nature Techni Colour penguin and their predators set coming. I've never collected these myself, and there've been a lot of Kaiyodo penguins, but this set looks great. I might get it for myself and if anyone is interested in it, I'm assuming I can get it from my Kaiyodo source. Brett |

| I have a new source that has access to aquarium sets 5 and 6 and the new deep sea aquarium set directly from a local aquarium's vending machines, each offering figures from one set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]If anyone is interested in any figures from either of the three sets, please let me know. Again, my goal is to always beat eBay prices and so far I've done so with every figure or set. I'll post news about the owl and penguin sets as soon as I hear from my Capsule Q Museum source. Thanks. | I don't think I ever mentioned it on this site and I know I didn't in this thread, but I also used to make and offer dioramas and considering doing so again. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Please contact me privately with any interest. Thanks. Brett

| I like the dioramas Brett, but I always liked your work (I tend to museum display more than dioramas--only room for one or the other! I only get one office...).
Any idea when the next round of Aquatales polystones are coming out? I need a paddlefish and tiger fish. Need. And I can find no indication of what the timeline is on those. I haven't really been able to keep up with the release on the polystone series, but I haven't had much need to follow them--for now! And there is ridiculously little info on them.
Oh, and in terms of searches--the only one I haven't been able to dig up anywhere is the bottlecap Archerfish. I don't even know what series it is from. So if one of those appears, let me know! |

| Thanks, Sean. Funny, I was just looking at display cases for the new figures I've got coming. Think I want rectangular Acrylic over a wood base. I actually only have three of my own dioramas, two only big enough to hold one figure each. I had three straightforward wall cabinets made for my collection as well. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]But I think my favorite way of displaying them so far has been a hybrid of the two, painting irregularly broken thick sheets of Styrofoam with rock style spray paint. That's the plan for the new case which I want to put on my desk. It's hokey/crafty in the use of painted Styrofoam but it works under glass (And it looks way better in person...). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Do you have photos of your displays? Also funny, I was organizing orders yesterday and I came across the photo of the Aquatales anniversary set and wondered myself, as I want the two turtles and the walrus and maybe some others. But I've not heard anything about these figures at all from any of my sources. I'll send out some e-mails and let you know if I hear anything. I have it narrowed down to you and one other person but weren't you the one who was still looking for the original Dinotales pteranodon when my old sources disappeared? I just saw one on eBay a week or two ago and thought of you--or whomever it was... ; ) Nice hearin' from you again. Brett |

| Okay, this is maddening. Just today I saw photos of the Aquatales anniversary polyresin figure boxes and now I need them to send to a source to check on availability and can't recall where.
If anyone has them, please post.
Thanks. Brett |

| I do indeed have photos--it took me forever to get them up. And I'm guessing I'm missing a lot of figures from them. To avoid derailing, I'll just link you to my post of them here on the Animal Toy Forum. I've tried to find the links to the polystone figures, but they never seem to work. I hope we are not going to suddenly be disappointed...the only picture I can find right now is the original one of the full 5 sets. Check that. I found a site with the boxes pictured: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]As for the Pteranodon, I was hunting for it at one time--it was the last of the series 4 that I needed. But that was like 8 years ago. I have it now, and the JP version. As it was, I got a good price on the whole series 4--worked out when I traded off the rest. But of course there are others that have proven far more difficult. The archerfish as I mentioned. And the Sunshine aquarium morays. And the Japanese salamander from the other bottlecap series (which, admittedly, I can find both of them but won't pay the asking prices. I've been pretty lucky lately though--I found my Hikari freshwater ray, AT red tail catfish, a couple of sharks, a few others. But there's always a few that elude me. And I just remembered another treasure I can't find--the Aqualand Silver Arowana. I know it exists, but no luck so far. |

| Thanks very much, Andreas. : )
It's not my idea of an optimum display but I like it well enough and it's what I have to work with now.
I am, btw, always interested in seeing how others display their Kaiyodo figures. One great thing about their size is they allow for nifty displays of large numbers of pieces in small spaces.
Disclaimer: I stopped collecting shells 25 years ago. I'm vegetarian/partially vegan and pretty animal rights-oriented, and wouldn't want anyone thinking I was contributing to poisoning molluscs, damaging coral reefs, etc.

Funny, I enjoy collecting but I hate to have stuff all over the place, so again I like these in that you can fit so many in a contained space.
