Beautyful models as always from CollectA , and not too much flipping around
Did you see the gaits ?
It looks like the Tölt of an Icey that can't tölt But that is fine, - 1000 times better than the way they treat the Tennessee walkers to force them to amble

It's called fox trot and, as far as I know, it's exclusive for this breed :)
Since you've mentioned TWH - they are also naturally gaited, but their natural "running walk" (as their gait is called) is not as exaggerated as the infamous, forced "big lick".
This is how TWH moves naturally (this horse is unshod).

A very interesting sculpting with realistic proportions and surely an unusual breed! I love Palominos, though I think they work better with with crazy manes and tails. Great release anyway!

I'm afraid I don't care for their movement. Horses move their limbs all the way from the scapulae and hip joints (well, spine really..), not only the more plainly visible elbows and hind knees. Ignoring this to some extent is a common issue with Collecta horses, I find.

Many of the typical undesired "gaits" Iceys fall into when ridden for tölt or skeið have a name, I gather. Do you know if the broken diagonal one you refer to has one, Susanne? I'm curious.
Also, as a fun fact (or two) about the Missouri Fox Trotter's peculiar gait: The tölt, flatwalk, slow gait etc. - in fact the the majority of the gaits of the "gaited breeds" of horse - are lateral gaits, that is to say variations of the broken pace (amble). The MFT's fox trot is a broken diagonal gait, that is, more akin to a "mistimed" trot. There are far fewer "easy gaits" of this diagonal kind, these being chiefly the marcha batida of Mangalarga Marchadors and the trocha of the few South American "diagonal Paso" breeds (namely trocha y galope and pura trocha).

Oh, I see what you mean but I never noticed that in CollectA horses while in this example it is clearly visible. Scapulas look especially too steady, just like in standing horse . I will look at the others too having this in mind.
/edited after 10 minutes, and small review of new CollectA pacers/ The Standardbred figure seems to be OK at this point, at least its scapulas are definitely in motion.

Again, interesting! Thanks for explanation!

I agree, the Standardbred seems like one of the better CollectA horses in that regard. Also, glad to be of use (with those gaits).
