CollectA 2014: WILDLIFE - Green Anaconda (88688)

Here is the mighty and angry Anaconda snake - produced in a specific pose at the request of a supplier.  Personally I think it would have been awesome to change this model to the largest snake that ever lived, the prehistoric Titanoboa.

Pose remind me more of cobra (do Anacondas behave like that actually?) but in general it is nicely done snake. It is great choice of species indeed.

Well-painted. But really not a typical anaconda pose. It's like open-mouth attacking big cat figurines,...Noo need for them. That's why i clearly dislike the figurines, despite of nice details. But i will buy it,...

The first think that I mind was a Cobra too. But she looks wonderful

Very cool.

I'm pretty sure all snakes will threaten to bite when feeling threatened. And pythons and anacondas will ball up like that to protect themselves. So this looks like a big snake that is in a defensive posture.

(But I'm no expert, not by a long shot. Just my first reaction.)

Outstanding. It's a challenge to make a good model snake, and they did a really nice job.

I agree it's not really a typical anaconda pose but... I have enough anacondas with a typical pose   I like very much this non typical model

I also had reservations about this model for the main reason that the pose is not as natural as I had wanted it to be but this model was produced by special request from a supplier from an image they supplied so I couldn't change it. However it is in an unusual pose and the model has drama and character. The head was a little too big and not in proportion with the body and so the head size will be reduced just a little to give it better proportions

This is probably the crowning jewel for me, stunning figure! 

Amazing sculpture and painting! I don't collect reptiles, too bad...
