| (Edit: Also posted pictures of the Peter Stone arabian stallion traditional in this topic. See page 2.) "The horses are called Eastern Star, Southern Cross, Northern Lights and Western Sky."I guess you may as well call me crazy. I really love the chestnut one and it is probably my favorite of them. But I really like all of them. I was thinking I should not like the quarter horse, as it's colour is so weird and unrealistic, but the mold is far to nice for me to part with it. The same I believed with the arabian, but the colour are more realistic than the other one and the actually exist in real horses. I started to like it, and of course the mold is wonderful. And I like the draft more than I should think. Just love! | Big congrats! I really like Peter Stone models, but the price is always far out of reach. I only have one PS model, a Living Horse Pebbles Hanoverian. |

| Wow they are magnificant! I ponder your comment, as it seems you don't think it is ok to love them as much as you actually do? Anyway, They deserve all the love Especially the chestnut is just the essence of grace in model form What is their size compared fx Schleich? _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

The last photo is out of this world I don't think it is supposed to be a friesian horse, seeing as the mane is really short and the tail... very, very short, almost non existing. It is also covered with tiny white dots, representing the "Northern Sky". But it is a very slim draft, non the less. So glad you like the picture, Susanne. I love taking comparison photos. - Schleich_Figures_4U wrote:

I got these as they was "cheap" comparing with pretty much all the other models of the same brand. But still, there is a reason you might call me crazy :p Do you have any pictures of your Hanoverian? - Carola wrote:

What is their size compared fx Schleich? Well, some people in my family think collecting is a waste of my money. It is kind of hard not to have it rub off one you. Here you go, I even throw in a traditional Breyer just because. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

I understand, I think many of us collectors of little animals have had our battles with the world surrounding us. But maybe the people who critisize us collectors for doing what makes us happy, are actually just dreaming of doing what makes them happy themselves, but let them be limited by the views of other people. So the critisism is actually an expression of envy, as I see it. _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

I showed him once, but he didn't place. I'm not really sure what to show him as... I tried Hanoverian but maybe that's not accurate? Bodywise he looks like a young hanoverian, but on the other hand I am not an expert, there is better persons to ask on this forum. I used google to find this image, and to me the model looks rather like it. The model is a little rounder in shape then the real horse, but the models belly and chest is smaller. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]As you see this black horse looks more sturdy. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]A little less, but still sturdy. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Still saying, I am not an expert, I know hardly anything. But it seems your model is a little one the thin side for representing a hanoverian? Also the head on the model seems more fine and delicate. But seeing as there are different types of hanoverians, it might be a dressage type while the photos I show are hunter types or jumpers. But as far as I know hanoverians are often described as "powerful". Just hope the horses I show now actually are hanoverians and not something else [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

I'm glad to be able to help. I hope you can decide what breed is better suited. - Ana wrote:

Thank you. Yes, I think my Peter Stones have to be one my top list of favorite models I own right now. But I am terrible at making "favorite" lists. Still, that chestnut is so, so nice! |

| These are very nice! I've always rather liked the old Chips molds; the Morgan (chestnut) is likely my favourite ~1:30 plastic in the model horse world.
As for the PS Hanoverian, he might go as a Trakehner if you don't want to change up his breed too much. The Trakehner's the lightest of the German warmbloods, and there are some pretty light specimens in them, especially - as you say - when they're young.

I didn't think of that, thanks! I'll try that at my next show. |

| If love was counted in model horses <3 My darling gave this one to me as an early Christmas present. As I'm often have lots of things to do my photos have a habit of being taken in the dark this time of the year I think the model is from 2003 and is called Twist, but I may be wrong.
