| We will soon start with the figure of the year for 2013, so this thread can be useful to horses category. Those are 2013 releases from major brands, please let me know if anything is missing or wrong. Most pictures are from the TOY ANIMAL WIKI and taken by Susanne| Remaining are catalogue pictures. :)

| Very nice thread! There are so many! Subjectively Princess takes all prizes for me, as she made a havoc as she entered the scene, and the rampage continues in 2014 - and I love her Oh well seriously... ColllectA Dartmoor Pony is my pick Could also be Schleich Hanoverian Mare - as she is now part of a (possibly) soon to be exstinct race -- The good basic fine anatomy Schleich horses! _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

| My top 3 from this category would be: 1. Dartmoor pony by CollectA 2. Fjord stallion by CollectA 3. Shire foal by schleich ( I love the fur texture on this one especially) Thank you for your work Roger! _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Thanks everyone, this thread is only to turn easier your choices but it is not yet time to start choosing. I hope we open the several category threads soon. Carola, if you don't vote in Princess, it will be a huge disappointment, though, if she win, the disappointment will be bigger. |

Who wins will depend on what 'Horse of the Year' is based on - is it good anatomy, beauty, commercial impact, innovation, manufacturing quality etc.? | Well, if Carola won't vote for the Princess, then I will! After all, it is the most discussed figurine of 2013! _________________ Bojan

| Yea, at first I hated the Princess. It looked ugly princess-pony with her big eyes and black eyeliner. After seeing it in local store I wanted it so bad! _________________ Jonas Animals are my friends. I don't eat my friends. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

Who wins will depend on what 'Horse of the Year' is based on - is it good anatomy, beauty, commercial impact, innovation, manufacturing quality etc.? We all seem to judge on different things in some way That is the reason why we aren't using and adjective. What means the best? The favorite? Those are always ambiguous things. Though, I hope it is a serious thing once I believe STS has already some prestige in this toy animal hobby and even among major brands. - bojan wrote:

After all, it is the most discussed figurine of 2013! The most discussed... what a serious criteria! Will Balotelli be the football player of the year? I thought it was Cristiano Ronaldo! |

Roger, I'm afraid Mario has been largely ignored this season at Milan, and thank Heavens for that... Yes, CR will probably be Ballon D'Or winner, but no matter who wins, we can be sure of one thing - it won't be any player from Sporting Lisbon... P.S. I do like William though - maybe he can be the next Moutinho or Figo for your club... |

After all, it is the most discussed figurine of 2013! I don't think she should win, as Schleich would probably misunderstand her reason for victory(if they ever read this forum) and really aim for the white/pink cute style _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

P.S. I do like William though - maybe he can be the next Moutinho or Figo for your club... Surely nobody from my wonderful ruined team will win. But you always surprise me with your knowledge about socker. I am surprised you know William, he is being a great surprise, was just nominated for the 3rd month consecutive the best player of Portuguese league. Interesting performance when here are some great players like Jackson Martinez (Oporto) or Matic (Benfica). But I don't know if you know that Sporting Lisbon is the only team of the world that two different players from their youth academy won the Golden Ball. Something that Barcelona, Real Madrid or even Manchester City never did. |

Something that Barcelona, Real Madrid or even Manchester City never did. Actually, I did know that, Roger... But, all kidding aside, Sporting has a great history, and is back on a par with Porto and Benfica. For a couple of years, it looked like Braga had replaced SL as the third member of the Big Three in the Superliga, but now SL is ascendant again with some excellent young talent. I thought when Bruma left, it would be a big blow to SL, but with players like William, Adrien, etc., SL are back. Very much looking forward to the day when SL plays Man City... |

Yes Sir Admin!
Phil, just check this video, maybe this is it what you're searching?
Yes, I remember that tie, Roger, but I was referring to the NEXT meeting between our clubs. By the way, I was amused by the beyond the last minute efforts by both FC Porto and Sporting Lisbon to sign U-18 World Cup MVP Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho away from Man City after he and his family had both agreed in principle to sign with City. Nice try, but your club failed in its attempt... I know you were referring to a future challenge between our teams. I didn't know about Sporting's interest in Iheanacho , I only knew about Porto, I confess I enjoyed to se how he played in its National team and I am sure his family made a great choice, good luck to the boy! |
