| Very beautiful pictures! It is interesting the extra info about llama, I didn't know that. Also interesting that you call Spanish red deer to these Safari figures, is it a regional denomination to these animals? They look brilliant on your pictures. |

The Spanish and the Caspian red deer both do not have neck manes like the others. (PS I am also an animal nerd, lol) Thank you for your compliments |

| I only collect vintage stuff, but I too think the Llama is great.
Look in the vintage section of the forum, and check out the threads about the Jeol brand - I think this Llama would fit in nicely with Jeol animals in a display. |

| Don't worry how knowledgeable you are with animals. We are a community of collectors of toy animal figures, not a community of animal experts. Then, with so beautiful pictures and figures you have everything to enjoy here and make us enjoy! It is also very appreciated that you are identifying your figures even if it is not always completely right. Deers are surely American species, not red deers although you're right that Spanish red deers are beardless. Though, even Safari, never identified them and to turn it even more confuse, they introduced new white-tailed deers without discontinuing these ones. But the long tails of these old versions show what they are. Schleich zebras are also not Grevy's but common zebras although the very detailed strips layout is not perfect. Please don't take this comment as a lesson. Lessons are your fantastic pictures!!! |
