| I received this model today and wanted to share some photos with you. I adore it and it makes an exciting addition to the Schleich and Papo sea turtles I have already. Whilst Papo have also released the same species in a lovely model the problem I have is that Papo's model is almost double the size of the CollectA one and larger than Schleich Tortoises. I will still get that too of course. Some photos for you to enjoy. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Very nice! I think in case of Papo, it's nice that they made model considerably larger, as the leatherback is known for being the biggest of them all. Anyway, I think probably I will try to get both as I'm in love in this beautiful (and sadly: endangered) species. The only thing I'm not sure in this figure are back flippers, are they correct size? They look too big to me? I'm impressed with very fine paintwork on this model. _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| What's that? did they sculpt a hatchling? The proportions look odd.

| It's gorgeous! Keep in mind, leatherback sea turtles are the largest living turtle, which would explain why Papo's is so large. Their carapace (shell) averages 3.3 to 5.7 feet (1-1.75 m) and total length can be 6.0-7.2 feet (1.83–2.2 m). They weigh anywhere from 550-1,540 pounds (250-700 kg). |
