1:9 scale king vulture by Joan Milelire

Hello friends,

I'm happy to show you my last creation: a king vulture (Sarcoramphus papa)        

From wikipedia:
"The King Vulture (Sarcoramphus papa) is a large bird found in Central and South America. It is a member of the New World vulture family Cathartidae. This vulture lives predominantly in tropical lowland forests stretching from southern Mexico to northern Argentina. It is the only surviving member of the genus Sarcoramphus, although fossil members are known.
Large and predominantly white, the King Vulture has gray to black ruff, flight, and tail feathers. The head and neck are bald, with the skin color varying, including yellow, orange, blue, purple, and red. The King Vulture has a very noticeable yellow fleshy caruncle on its beak."

I think I must explain a little bit more about the scale in this model. Finally I tried this one because is (more or less) one of the common scales on birds miniatures. For example most of the schleich birds of prey are 1:9 scale.
Also I have needed a 'big' scale for the detail of the bird on the face.
I made time ago a siamang in 1:22 scale and it was really difficult to sculpt and to mould!
