I wasn't sure where I should have posted this. If it's in the wrong category, feel free to move it. I came across these dinosaurs on eBay, all have similarities to Papo, Safari Ltd. and Shleich: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Safari Ltd. miragaia: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Safari Ltd. brachiosaurus: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Safari Ltd. stegosaurus: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Schleich gigantosaurus: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Papo triceratops: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Schleich t-rex: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The very top picture is of the ones on eBay, the rest are of the major brand dinosaurs.

You're welcome! I'm thinking the battery is there to show the size of them, it doesn't look like they can be taken apart.

Orcagirl, it is in the correct category and it is very interesting that you, a sea life collector, are so observant to notice copycating on these prehistoric animals. It is scandalous. Dinosaurs are the easiest to copy, you can give the same shape, change drastically the color and it will turn harder to notice. You cannot do it with a zebra, of course. But colors don't look drastically changed on these figures!

let's avoid buying all these blatant thievery if possible. their original versions are still in the market and i'd prefer them over these cheap copies (tho the price isnt that much different from the original's price. the nerve of these pirate manufacturers ).

You cannot do it with a zebra, of course. But colors don't look drastically changed on these figures! Thank you, Roger. As a sea life collector, I do try to take notice of the other collections that major companies have. When I came across these I was really shocked - jonesee wrote:

Thank you! They are nice, but I think they money should go to the original creator. BTW You're welcome! - Kikimalou wrote:

Hmm, that's strange that you can't read it in France Yes, I agree a very BIG copyright problem! - Tarunyada wrote:

Thank you. No they don't seem that bad, but like I said before I feel the money should go to the original creator. I'm not even sure if the are solid, they look hollow - sauroid wrote:

I agree with you 100%! Isn't this the reason by PV doesn't make their animal replicas anymore? |
