Martijn's Wildlife pictures

Some of you know that I work in a zoo. And one of my hobbies is making pictures of animals and nature. On my days off I will go to the zoo where I work to make pictures or other zoos or to nature areas.

I wanted to share some pictures with you and maybe some of you can use it with their projects of creating animals.

I will post more pictures in 2011 when I made new ones. Can post older ones too. Maybe I will do that too.
In february im going to 3 zoos in England, so new pictures will be up after that;) and ofcourse pictures of the zoo im working at.

The zoo Beekse Bergen is over 40 years now. But always adapting the enclosures to become better, more beautiful etc.

Went to africa on safari a few weeks ago. I can recommnd it

Whoa. Those are some amazing pics (and animals)! I'm deeply jealous you've even seen all these animals...

Your photos are stunning and beautiful. There is nothing more exciting than going on an African safari. I went to Kenya and Tanzania in 1992 and hope to return someday soon.

The pictures of the Gerenuk were taken at Miami Metro Zoo, the other mammals were taken in different zoo from America and Europe.

The ones from birds all are wild birds at different places but mostly here in Peru where I live.

Finally got the confirmation.
Im going to England from 2 till 6 february to visit several zoos.
If the weather is ok, Im going to make pictures ofcourse.
I will post some of them in this topic when Im back.

Look forward to seeing the new photos when you get back from your trip in February. There are no zoos nearby so I really love it when others share photos!

Hi MartinJ, your job is very exciting. Thank you for sharing your wildlife photos.

Went to England for 5 days to visit several zoos.
Couldnt make many nice pictures because of the weather.
And most enclosures did not had glass or an open area to take pictures, but had wire mesh.
But it was a great experience.
