Diana Monkey, CollectA 2014 Wildlife :-D

For years I have been sighing for more monkey, and now , at last, something is happening cheers

Both Schleich and CollectA have brought Monkeys this year, - and I can't wait to get the macaque from Mojo bounce

The Diana monkey is called "Marekat" in Danish, - Marecat ( It took me a little time to remember that a Meercat is a surikat).
It is a beautyful, large monkey with a 75 cm long tail.
The model from CollectA is beautyful, with the Wise-Old-Man look on his face and elegant, yet strong, lines, which are typical for this species.

Great little hands, - I tried to get a photo for the palms, but my camera just would not focus Crying or Very sad

Nice job from CollectA.
All the markings are in the right places and they got the colours spot on too.
That, for me, makes this a must have monkey.

I'm glad companies are finally stepping away from the more commonly seen apes and monkeys and releasing species we wouldn't normally see (we see them now thanks to CollectA mostly Smile

) His goatee is pretty interesting Smile

Sculpting looks very competent to me, texture is rich amd painting works natural. Looks a very interesting monkey amd decently presented as usual im your walk arounds. cheers

Yes I hope so too. I really want that Diana monkey it fits my scaling exactly (seeing it next to the Squirrel monkey).

This Diana monkey from CollectA is a 1:10 scale, but it couldn't be done with such quality in a smaller scale. A must have! Very Happy

Thanks for posting all these lovely photos Susanne, this little guy is definitely at the top of my wants list, such a nice figure.

I've not posted for a while, but all these new monkeys this year have brought me back to the forum. I recently bought all the Schleich monkeys, and also the Mojo proboscis monkey, but there are a few more treasures to track down. 2014 is truly the Year of the Monkey!! monkey
