Walkaround of the 2014 Mojo Fun Arabian Mare in Foal and Comparison with Anna's Resin Version ;)

The last model I picked up from Hobby Lobby is the Arab mare in Foal. I was most excited about this one as I wanted to compare her to the resin version.

I am very impressed with the plastic version, except of course for the paintwork once again. This mare is red. Seriously, RED. The photos aren't poorly edited that way.

Another I will be repainting sometime. (In other words, who knows when I will get the time. )


























And compared with Anna's resin version:

Gosh! It really is like a paprika The model is great, cheers to Anna, but why did they had to mess it with that kind of color!

Thanks Jonas! The red is quite disturbing But I am sure it is only because the brand is just starting up, and is still experimenting with paintwork.

Oh yes...that's true! But like Schleich have had many variations of one color, (for ex. the pinto) I wish Mojo will have a bit darker versions of this someday

I'm trying to decide on grey or black on the repaint, I'm thinking I should get another copy and do one in black and one in grey.

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light. Now the factory version will be Roxanne for me, though, I think it is not serious enough to call The Police!
I find it a wonderful piece, even if your sumptuous resin version outshines it. I see that Roxanne, was redder when pregnant of her first foal but she looks very confortable, maybe that second foal is heavier and she looks as making a little effort... love them, congratulations!

Although Ana's model has thinner legs and is better I love this model; but this color... seems a Chinese bazar replica

Thanks Anna! That would be wonderful if James can do something about the red color - if it was just toned down a bit I think it would make a nice red bay, but right now she's red with black socks.

It's wonderful that any company has the guts to make a pregnant horse.

Anna's resin version (a calm, soothing mare, enjoying the first beams of sunlight on her face early in the morning), does not compare to the final Mojo pregnant Mare.

The way her ears are standing and her face up,
to me she heard/smelled something and she doesn't like it.
She looks startled to me.
She is a pregnant mom and to me it looks like something bad is going to happen
and she's ready to make a runner.

I, myself, find it a little disturbing.

To me she is calm and listening to something in the distance. If she was startled her eyewhites would be showing and the ears would be flicking back and forth constantly. Here one ear is back, she is listening to her surroundings.

I just have a wild imagination sometimes...

Thank you very much for sharing   This is the first time I see in hand photos of the factory version of the Arabian by Anna. She is very pretty, although a bit crazy colour, I may consider her very much to get her for my collection   I remember that I was the lucky one to present this model back in 2013

Then Roxanne will become a sought after special red variant - if James suddenly change the colour!
