Schleich 2015 list of releases with pictures!

I too like the ostrich (though they need to make a female!), Hyena is good--would need to see better photo or it in person; rhino is same, lots of snakes and wolves/dogs. Not sure about new male lion but do like the croc with moveable jaw. Thanks for link.

I love them all I like the croc and tiger and lion the rhino might be a pass becuase it looks too similar to the 2009 rhino that retired in 2012 which I already have and the ostrich and hyena are a must have as well and it seems most of my predictions where right yayyyy

First I just want to say that this is all my own opinion, nothing more.

I'm actually a little bit impressed by Schleich this year. The past two years I've been so disappointed because there were rather few animals I was willing to pay for, quality was down. This year, its not exactly back up to par with their golden ages, or even with modern animal companies yet, however I do feel this is a good step in the right direction. And hopefully, since they had to reuse molds, they got a reality check and will change some of their bad habits (eyes, too much texture on certain figures [which makes them look like frosting sculptures], etc.)

I don't like all the horses, but the Ardennes, curlies, and pinto stallion were good models in my opinion. The Knappstrupper is ok too, just not as a knappstrupper, more of an Arabian type breed. The rest have anatomy issues and such, but are again okish but not impressive. (I already talked about these though)

The donkey jenny I like a lot actually. The cats are good but they have big eyes again, the cows we've all seen. The sheep I'm not sure of yet, I love black sheep but she bothers me for some reason. The pig I can say is a good model but I'm so sick of just pink pigs over and over again. Same for the piglet.

The tigers I like. Not all tigers are skinny and rangy, big males that have possession over good territory can look a little chubby, so both adults I'm fond of. Not sure about the cubs though, I need a better angle. The crocs I'm excited about. They look to be in pretty good poses, just not sure about the moveable jaws yet. I'm unimpressed by the lion, he has a weird face (like his lady did) but his body is ok. The macaw and owl are great imho, the anaconda is nothing special but it could be with a better paint job. I love the hyena, and the panda is a little (lot) overboard. The cobra is nice (remember though, my collection is starved for good snake models so I am a little biased), and the rhino is way too similar to the old one. Again I like the white tiger adult, not sure about the cub, and the ostrich looks nice.  I like the dragons, though if Schleich's prices are going up I probably can't get them.

The most positive for me this year are the wolves. I really don't like the gray one's texture (the frosting sculpture I spoke of) so I'm not sure he will join the pack, but his motion and color in general are great. The white will definitely be joining my shelves, and lastly I cannot begin to explain how excited I am for the rattle snake!!! I've wanted one for a long time and this looks like a good model.

The dogs I'm disappointed in. Though I have to see them in person before I decide officially. And Since I'm not a fan of their fairy lines I can safely say that I'm slightly disturbed by their "creations" of the companion animals.... a little to weird for me though I have to say I like the colors.  

Lastly on a side note I just want to reiterate the fact that Schleich has new owners. There is no way of knowing right now, but it is still possible that they change things around for the brand. Again, these models aren't perfect by any means, but they are a fairly good improvement in my opinion over the past two years. Hopefully things get better for their models. And once again, this is just my opinion and in no means should be taken as fact or standard or anything. I was just stating my comments.  

That's a Husky??? First I thought it was a malamute but then I saw those horrible freaky blue eyes. Well maybe I'll paint it's eyes to be more natural...

St. Bernard puppy looks a bit weird, maybe it has too short neck. Need to see it in reality to say more. Adult Berhandiner looks pretty cool to me, just hope it's the angle of picture that makes its head look so big. White wolf is lovely, I will definitely buy it someday.

Most of them are very safe choises of species and breeds and boring repaints but those nice snakes are something extraordinary and there is three of them. Maybe Schleich is really taking slow steps to right direction

I like the black sheep! ( I wish schleich make new sheep every year) and the tiger is nice (but having some Papo tigers I really don't need this one) and the eagle owl I will surely buy as I really love owls . Others aren't too interesting to me.

I like the Snarling Wolf. and I am glad that Rhino is coming back so I wont have to pay $30 for it on Amazon. and Wow Three Snakes in one year

Some horses I need to see in real life before I buy them.
But overall they look good, compared to this year.
(except for the little Shetland ponies...)

For my part I love reptiles (snakes and crocodiles)
The Owl is not bad, I'd put him a fish in greenhouses on my shelves
The tiger is the miniature Safari ... Wonders,,,, ???
Why a new Ara ???? a cockatoo or other bird would have been better, the former is gorgeous.
That is my opinion, it will remain to me to comfort me

Well, the farm life and wild life look pretty amazing as a whole (that pig! O.O), the horses are ok...but the dogs and bayala are terrible!
The gypsy vanners are nice,
the knabstrupper...what are those black monstrosities on (his?) body!,
the curlies are pretty good but those heads and necks are a little wierd,
the ardenner I am actually loving! although you have the head thing again...and I think that stallion is a bit chubby xD,
I quite like the miniature shetlands...yes they are cutified and have PINK on them >.< but they are mainly nice looking
the pinto stallion...that hair is terrible I know its meant to look windswept or whatever but it just looks like a mess! and the head is a bit small...
the icey looks good but possibly the legs are a bit long?
the others that are just repaints I quite like :)
so I'm not an anatomy expert but that's my opinion

I think that there are too many that are just repaints. They do look nice, but i was expecting new molds. I do think that the pinto stallion's mane is a bit overdone, but i like him a lot

I can't believe it! I just spent a small fortune to get that male rhino and now I find that he is being reissued again
He arrived yesterday, oh well, rhino crossed off the wishlist

Has schleich done that in the past? Do they sometimes reissue molds

Last year was the first time that they've done that. But the rhino has a different colour, so you now have two versions of it, if you would buy it.

I will hold my mouth shut and tidy because there are younger collectors among us...

Well the fantasy figures are certainly very much a fantasy. So unfortunately are a few of the regular animals. Not too happy with the dogs and those have been one of my main areas. The birds look pretty nice and I like a few of the horses.

Ha Schleich ran out of money so they had to do repaints and make not many new models. I REALLY want to know what is retired.
