| It's really sad because I saw today on MPV the new CollectA of this year and I calculated the total price for the month of May concerning all the figures that I want and the total is more than 170.00 Eur for only 14 CollectA. For exemple, I have five CollectA Deluxe edition ; the first is a horse (Brown and white, I think it's the Chesnut Overo) and the price is of 18.00 Eur - No problem the three others are the tyrannosaurus, the guidraco and the baobab ... Everyone is of 24.95 Eur ( It was before of approx 19.00 Eur for Deluxe dinosaurs and trees) the acrocanthosaurus is of 22.95 and it's the same than the carcharodontosaurus (:!:the price of the carcha. is generally of 18.50 Approx) It's the same for wildlife : Amur Leopard is of 6.70 Eur but the normal predators (Lions, tigers, cheetahs, ... are generally of 5.70 Eur) So for my wishlist of CollectA for January I have a wishlist of 5 figures and it costs 36 Eur approx (That list including the chinchilla, the caribou, the amur leopard and two normal horses (not Deluxe) and the shipping of 4.95 Eur). I'm really sad to realize that even AMAZING brands as CollectA change their prices : Concerning the higher prices, I understand because the quality of the sculptures is really nice and their prices were really cheap compared to other brands so they need to do higher prices. It's however a bad point for CollectA according to me ... the big chance for me is that my birthday is in May but I don't want spend all my money for CollectA figures :/ And you what do you think about that ?

| Honestly I don't even bother with prices of CollectA models here, it's so hard to find them that they're through the roof expensive as it is I agree it's a shame they raise the prices but think of it as you spending those prices is keeping them afloat. |

| Uhhh, 17,5 % increase ! That is a lot They are at the same level as Schleich now, - not a reasonably priced brand any more. For some strange reason, shipping to Belgium is half of the cost to Denmark, - why on earth I don't know, - we are both neigbours to Germany Well, they must have spent fortunes in development, - both design and material, so they can make the ones with thin legs Makes me think of the old saying : There is no such thing as a free lunch |

| Interesting. Inflation? More expensive to produce in China? Also, note that several of the models are due to August 2015 Trakehner, Knabstrupper and Hanoverian among those late releases.. The other horses says April (the Percheron too fortunately ) _________________ ~ Portfolio & Online Comic ~

| Not as expensive as I thought it would be,honestly.I have a CollectA Deluxe Agustinia which I got for 25 euros.I'd rather pay 25 euros for that gorgeous Tyrannosaurus than 20 euros for a Schlecih Dino.Besides, don't get that sad.Maybe other retailers will have it cheaper. |

| It could have to do with weight and size? The DeLuxe figures can sometimes be very heavy, so they will cost more. (Maybe they will come with special package/box this time?) The Caribou is probably a bit heavier because of the antlers. And the Leopard being an Euro more expensive than other wild cats, might indicate that the figure itself will be slightly larger than the older cat models. I don't know Florian, I'm just guessing. |

| That is capitalism. Schleich is not the only who becomes more expensive. |

I don't know Florian, I'm just guessing. The Caribou and Leopard have grey codes, it means that they are classified as XL, though the size are not bigger. Perhaps it is because of the high difficulties and high details in the sculpting (for Caribou) and painting (for Leopard). |

| Just came across my mind: the new dinosaurs have movable jaws, so perhaps it's the reason for the higher price.

| Horrible! I understand that their quality grows to years, but it's really sad about the prices. I heard there is strong inflation in China. Plus do you know abou prices in my country? Russian ruble had lost 40% of its value! It isn't really funny. I've ordered new wolves by Schleich in 30 of december, each of them costs 519 rubles! Early it was about 300 rubles. Can you amagine that American or European go to shop and buy replicas for 500 $/€? _________________ My shadow's the only one that walks beside me, My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating. | Collectors of animal figurines want rare species in high quality, but they want dont't to pay for it...so there is no diffrence to all the other people of the world. Schleich ist more expensive than collecta, because you get NOT nearly the same quality of collecta-and only poor, boring species. So I prefer to pay collecta the money fo rall these great species in this quality, than give my money to Schleich anymore. Maybe we should advice collecta, to stop producing species only collectors buy and making instead of them lions, tigers, pandas etc, in low quality-so they can offer them cheaper. |

Why childs should buy expensive figures that they don't know what it is? I don't really have a problem to pay a little more for Collecta figures (if they are well sculpted and painted). |

| I agree with most of advices. I understand we pay for an amazing quality and imaginative figures :) It's a little bit damage that the prices are higher now but we can understand because their prices were cheap compared to their quality :) |

| I do not know the reason either. I do not discuss such things with CollectA. However prices on general have always gone up a little across all brands. Perhaps MPV have added an additional mark up to their prices? The only real website which I can use to gauge more accurate prices is TGF TOYS. Look at what they charge for the models and once the 2015 ones are added then we may know for sure if the prices have been hiked by the brand or the seller? I am just guessing.... |
