I'm so pleased you posted these photos! I had the same reaction as you. I pulled this model out of the bag -- today, in fact! -- and was blown away. It is so much better than the stock photos from Safari led me to believe. The details are amazing, the texture is wonderful, and even the paintwork -- not usually a strong point with Safari models -- is extremely pleasing. This is honestly the best dinosaur I've seen in ages. My wife and I sat around oohing and aahing over it for about a half hour.

Great Walkaround! And great model! I love the Nasutoceratops and the Yutyrannus, but the Sauropelta is the stand out in my opinion.

That's exactly what I love with Safari ltd, a wonderful marriage of accuracy and fashion. I remember a topic at STS birth about this, at that time I had only the Kaiyodo sauropelta to explain my point.

It's good to see these well-made photos. It is a beautiful and natural-looking model. It may be Doug Watson's (and one of Safari's) best. I can't wait to get it. I also finally got the lovely Kaiyodo recently. These are dinosaur models done right.

The Walkaround is indeed awesome. This is still probably my most favorite model of 2015 so far.
